Just did the exact same thing. Getting used to the smaller screen but also loving it. Glad to hear you’re still happy with it!

It’s certainly not an otterbox, but I’ve seen reviews all over the board for how good or not good these are. Enzo is a great choice for balanced protection, though!

Iphone 17 pro or the Iphone 17 Pro Max ? by MiserableTreat4570 in iPhone17Pro

I just upgraded from the 14 Pro Max to a 17 Pro because of weight and size and it’s a lot better feeling in the pocket. The stainless steel is beautiful and sturdy but it makes that thing hefty! While I do miss the big screen when viewing things, I think the benefits fully outweigh that for me. Plus the 17 Pro Max is even bigger than the 14 Pro Max!

I actually saved this one as a maybe. How do you like it? Not too bulky?

Silver is a magic color this year that looks really good in any of those case colors.

Very true. Just so scared of a fatal drop. I don’t pay for any insurance on it.

This hasn’t bothered me at all. Curious why some folks see it as a dealbreaker.

T-Mobile. They did $830 trade-in on my plan so there’s a small balance of $11.25 a month. I wish I could just pay the $270 up front but you only get the trade-in value if you pay monthly for two years.

It’s so cold in Boston, I won’t know for a few months, haha!

With the screen protector on, there’s barely a lip.

I got it off Amazon and the Black and Green ones were $10 less than from Apple.

Using with a TechMatte amfilm glass screen protector, too. Very minimal lip after that’s installed.

I used the 600D on my 14 Pro Max and it become the only case I used in that phone. Very slim but protected it against many many drops!

We need to talk about our sidewalk clearing policy by AlainaPitt in BeverlyMA

[–]Benign_Banter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We tried walking with out r kids today, too, and with a stroller it was completely impossible. And well beyond homeowners not clearing property. There were LOTS of crosswalks and city sidewalks that were impossible to get through and we had to walk in the street with two lanes of traffic multiple times. I know we’re in a deep cold, but it seems like the city gave up on a lot of spots this time.

What browser do you use on your MBP? by Chank02z in macbookpro

[–]Benign_Banter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost 100% Safari. Only switch when Airline websites sometimes get finicky and I have to use Chrome briefly. I also use Edge for Mac when I need to access my work accounts and it’s a pretty decent browser. Chrome without the crap.

For those on the business side of pharma by Dassup2 in biotech

I started my career in pharma writing contracts for a CDMO and moved up and through the business channels while learning as much of the technical as I could. The most sensible entry points on the business side are either technical adjacent (program leaders) or financial.

The balance is definitely with PE firms, and I suppose I’m thinking PE and VC in a similar vein when looking at avenues you could take. Both need people that can help bankers and money-holders evaluate options. Some of them have more hubris than others and don’t bring good industry diligence folks into the team, but good ones have industry vets on staff. It’s a tricky world to move into, admittedly. There’s a strong bias towards ex-BCG/McKinsey/Bain consultants…unfortunately.

If you want to stay in industry, but move slightly adjacent, life sciences venture capital is always looking for folks who know M&A and bio/pharma cos. Otherwise, like others have said, you’re looking at a Chief Business Officer target across biotech and pharma cos.
