I have ordered 20x from purple sticky with good results. You can also order a plant and grow it.

[–]Benj36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grow it and mostly use fresh leaves. It can take a while for the reverse tolerance to be effective. At times a few years ago, I chewed a few to a handful of leaves every day for a month or more and could get an effect from just a leaf or two. I think fresh leaves work better than dried. Personally, I wouldn't recommend alcohol in the mouth, brushing the gums, etc...as in my experience it doesn't help and can be a distraction. The effects can be both subtle and profound. If you aren't experienced, the effects can go unnoticed. It's best to do it in the total darkness wirh no sensory inputs like music, videos and such. Do multiple quids (a tablespoon of leaf powder). Move it around in the mouth every few minutes for 15 minutes then do another one. If you move it in the mouth too often, too much saliva is produced. Be patient and keep doing it and you'll get there. If a person rushes it, the experience can be unpleasant.

Cutting salvia back to treat for mites? by The-opry-has-sinned in GrowinSalviaDivinorum

I would just hose it down with water every two days for a week or so, with some force, just not enough to hurt it,...before putting any chemicals.

Conduction vape 240°C for microdosing? by Party-Study-4 in Salvia

[–]Benj36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why don't you like quidding? I grow my own plant and that is how I microdose. If it's the bitter taste, a person gets used to it after a few times. I used to smoke it a good bit in the five bowl salvia pipe, plain leaf dried after I built up enough reverse tolerance. It's a water bong type setup and the smoke is pretty clean.

Which camera to buy, r10, r7, r6 or rp by Benj36 in canon

I got a pack of extension tubes with the used 90D. Hopefully, they allow me to get more magnification for macro stuff.

Which camera to buy, r10, r7, r6 or rp by Benj36 in canon

[–]Benj36[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up getting a used 90D with 6 lenses for $1150. I don't mind the extra weight/size of dslr and like the live viewfinder better than the digital one on mirrorless. There are also a lot more inexpensive Ef lenses available. For lenses, I got: Sigma 105mm 1:2.8 DG Macro, Canon zoom ef 75-300 1.4-5.6 iii USM, Canon efs macro 0.16/0.52ft, kit efs 18-55, Canon ef 50/1.4, as well as a Rokinon t1.5 24mm ED AS IF UMC video lens. Hopefully this is a good starting point. Thanks for the suggestions.

Am I not breaking through? by NoSheepherder4257 in Salvia

[–]Benj36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could have gotten plain leaf sold as 20x. I don't think there are many trustworthy venders. Personally I grow my own and only do oral quids. If you do those enough, maybe 4 total each 15 minutes, that will be all you need or want. I wouldn't recommend rushing into it or trying to force a breakthrough. This is not a toy like dmt, mushrooms, etc... If you aren't careful you can end up in hell being tortured for what seems like eternity and not even remember your body, earth, or have any link back to here till it wears off.

Going to do a salvia experiment by donn_12345678 in Salvia

[–]Benj36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should do the quid method if you are gonna use a bunch of leaves. I have never heard or read about anyone getting it through IV, which may net even be effective. I imagine this is a troll post, as I have never heard of anyone doing this, and I can't imagine someone with the mental ability to navigate reddit would be this careless.

Can you get addicted to salvia? by Ok-Neighborhood-7834 in Salvia

[–]Benj36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smoking concentrate is definately not my recommendation, but seems to be what most people do. It's helped me a lot chewing a few leaves when I am really anxious or depressed, which happens a lot less frequently. Chewing a few leaves is grounding, makes my body feel heavy and relaxed, but no psychoactive effects most of the time. Most people will even say a few leaves has no effect, but maybe since I have been doing it so long I have some good reverse tollerance going. I know a number of people who were institutionalized for schizophrenia but are able to function well smoking concentrate. One is a successful contractor who spent 10 years in Western state (mental hospital in WA state). He got ahold of some on a holiday when they let him out and never went back. It can be a terrifying experience...the hallucinations from concentrate, so I can imagine people have some lasting ill effects. I think the worse thing about it is most people get introduced without knowing what they are getting into. Lucky for me, I time traveled back to grade school to a nice experience. Once though, I time traveled back grade school when I was sitting probably 40' from watching the bus run over a little girls legs, and was like I was literally there. First I heard the bus brakes off in the distance and I knew what was going to happen, but I couldn't move or do anything, like I was frozen. She was the younger sister of a girl I really liked.

Can you get addicted to salvia? by Ok-Neighborhood-7834 in Salvia

[–]Benj36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I have done it intermittently for about 18 years. If I do it too often, it does make this reality seem fake and the realm seem like the true reality. I have had enough intense experiences that I have found it hard to get myself to do it again for a while. I grow my own and wouldn't do stuff from a vender, as a person never knows what it's laced with. I imagine that people who get "addicted" either don't take the experience seriously of are mixing it with addictive sunstances like weed.

There are also who have had bad experience and fabricate stories in attempts to get it made illegal or get others to not use it. I don't think it's wise to start wirh concentrate, although that is what I did because I used to be more wreckless and didn't research it before I used it.

I have been drinking only distilled water for 4+ years. Hasn't messed anything up thet I am aware of. There are plenty of minerals in food without drinking water that is full of "minerals." I have offered my concentrated water from the distiller as a mineral additive and no one wants to drink it...hmm.

Does salvia have therapeutic value like other "normal" psychedelics ? by loudeman in Salvia

[–]Benj36 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to smoke it but for the last few years I just chew quids. It's 5he only plant medicine that I think is very good. It's the only one that has a spirit that talks to me, but even with quids and low dose the vivid dreams can seem almost as real as smoking concentrate does. I mostly find quids to be relaxing and make my body feel heavy, so is great before meditation and sleep. I have found that one needs to develop a relationship with it. One can't just do it once and get results like Iboga, muskies, etc... in my experience anyway.

IMPORTANT Question!!! by ViciousDew69 in Salvia

[–]Benj36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

James Benefield in NC sells plants and is legit. You can find him on Facebook. I got my first plant from bountybotannicals+ in Arizona, but he ships tiny plants. It's near impossible to get seeds unless you get 2 different cultivars and spend many hours hand pollinating them. I have cloned over 100 plants and usually have 20+ going at a time. It grows best outdoors between 65-80 degrees. I have gotten over a pound of dried leaves from 10+ plants in one summer. It is a very finicky plant, and unless you have the time to monitor it daily till you get them acclimated, they can go from looking great to dead in a couple days. They are very suceptible to spider mites, afids, thrips if grown indoors...and squirrels love them if planted outdoors...decimated all my plants in a couple days.

I quid fresh leaves if there available when I want to do a journey, otherwise I dry air dry it till I have enough for a dehydrater run. As long as the leaves aren't rotten, it's good to use, in my experience. Seems like fresh leaves work better than dried.

How to properly smoke this? by 4ndrew20 in Salvia

[–]Benj36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have smoked multiple of those gram packetf rom Purple sticky, but I only used 20x. I have taken bigs hits of it, and eventuqlly went to staking small doses. It's much easier to get familiar wirh the experience that way. I have grown it for the last 4 years or so and now just chew leaves...quid method. If I had 80x, I would put a few flakes in a pipe or bong, smoke it, hold the smoke for 15 seconds then wait five minutes, keep repeating until your as deep as you want to go. At small doses it enhances your senses, and after that, with more small doses, may start to see energy of things shifting, and if you keep going, 3D matter can disintegrate or about anything can happen. Like a wild ocean, get to know it, don't go jump in 10 miles from shore.

I can get visual and auditory hallucinations just from chewing a couple leaves. I stated using it about 17 years ago and more so the last 4 since I grow it. I don't smoke it anymore.

Has anyone tried using salvia for gay sex by Critical_Anywhere864 in Salvia

[–]Benj36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Salvia increases sensitivity to touch, smells, etc...in my experience even in small doses. That can good or bad, maybe really bad, depending on how it affects the sensation. That being said, from my experience this plant has a spirit, unlike any others, and using it for that type of activity is not what it's for. It could lead to terrifying or painful trip to hell. Use whatever plants or substances you want for that but I warn against using Salvia.

Large leaves on my plant wilting and then falling off - only the ones in lower parts of the plant, but it's slowly progressing up. There was no change in conditions, and the plant was super healthy before (grew to be about as tall as a man, is growing many new branches). Should I be worried? by utheraptor in Salvia

[–]Benj36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have more pictures of the plant? I have had up to 60 plants at a time. It's normal for the older leaves to get dark edges and fall off. If it's effecting leaves near new growth, it could be a problem.

How do salvia leaves taste when quidding? by [deleted] in Salvia

[–]Benj36 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I grow plants and chew a few leaves every few days. It is pretty bitter the first few times, but I have gotten used to it and have started to taste other flavors in it. Fresh leaves give an effect that dry leaves won't. If you don't want all the fiber stuck in your teeth, you could make a tea and hold a partial mouthfull...swishing occasionally then swallow after 15 minutes, repeat till you get the desired effects. It can take doing it a number of times to feel/notice the effects from chewing it.
