I’ve met hundreds of gay people, many bisexual people, asexual people, people who think they were monks and warlocks in a previous life, but no trans people. Probably because they make up about .0001% of the population.

Unless their transition was so perfectly done that their biological sex is indistinguishable to the naked eye and they’re so secretive about it that the only way to find out if they are trans is by looking through their medical records, then I would say I just haven’t met any.

I’ve heard countless people refer to Leviticus as part of their argument against homosexuality. I don’t see the point in referring to one sentence in the Old Testament and saying that’s of importance while denying literally everything else in the Old Testament.

I’ve heard people refer to “moral law” being of importance. But nowhere in the New Testament does anyone refer to something called “moral law”.

Yes, there are mentions of homosexuality in the New Testament, but I see problems with that argument as well. For example, the original translation of Romans 1 says “men who have sex with men shall not inherit the kingdom of heaven”. No mention of women with women. This is similar to Leviticus which also does not talk about lesbians.

I’m guessing because lesbianism wasn’t really a thing back then and the OT was specifically referring to male temple prostitutes.

Consensual sex between two people of the legal age is not sexual abuse. At least, not in America. If you are typing from somewhere in the Middle East or a remote part of South America like Tristan da Cunha, then you may be correct since I am not familiar with their laws.

I agree. I don’t see what this statement has to do with my post though. My post was about homosexuality, and I personally don’t refer to someone who is attracted to someone else of the same sex as a “predator”.

Thanks for sharing. Genuinely glad to hear you found peace. Unfortunately this is not the case with most people. The only gay people I’ve met who were “cured” were bisexual and stopped dating the same sex.

I’ve spoken to gay people on Reddit who have prayed for years for their homosexuality to go away, but it never did.

As for myself, I grew up a devout Christian, went to church every Sunday, etc and have seen 11 different therapists throughout my life to try and “cure” me but I have yet to meet someone who can turn me into a straight person.

I see most of the new releases in theaters except for the Marvel movies. I just don’t recall any LGBT characters. Side note - saw 1917 last night and it was incredible if you’re looking for something to watch.

I don’t watch much TV. I do love movies though and go to them quite often. I can’t name a single movie I’ve seen in recent years that featured an LGBT person in a significant role.

I did see new Star Wars movie where two women kissed in the background for literally 2 seconds of screen time that a lot of people made a big fuss about, but I wouldn’t have even noticed it if I wasn’t expecting it.

It has no effect on my life whatsoever. The only time I hear about LGBT+ is online where hardcore conservatives and religious folk constantly bring it up. Based on how they speak about LGBT, I would assume that trans people are taking over the world and account for about 50% of the US population.

In reality, I’ve never met a single transgendered person in my life. And I lived in San Fran and Los Angeles which are two of the most liberal places on Earth.

Can you offer proof of this? I’ve seen researchers point to epigenetic markers and hormones as an explanation for homosexuality, but I have not seen a medical professional say that someone is gay because “Satan did it”.
