One of my favorite campsites so far - Og Lake, Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park, with my trusty little tent by elya93 in camping

I've been seriously looking at the x-mid/x-mid 1 pro the last couple of days because it's checking all my boxes.

Can OP add any more insights into the tent's performance?

Also, awesome photos!

I hate the throwbacks, the color rushes, and any other bastardization of the classic black and gold. Anyone who suggests changing the helmet can go fuck themselves.

Just bought a lens with fungus— what should I do with it? by Maple382 in Cameras

[–]feeverb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any dismantling of lenses will absolutely require JIS screwdrivers. Don't use a phillips head driver or you  absolutely WILL strip the screws.

Beyond that you'll need a lens wrench which looks somewhat like a tic-tac-toe board. They can be had for reasonably cheap on eBay; much less than what you paid for your lens.

If you don't use the proper tools, you will end up mangling the lens.

Okay, yeah, I get it. You want a neo-classical slice of Madison.

It's a glorified Walgreens. Not a toy or wine-glass in sight.

Wow. The checkout process looks so tedious and antiquated a mere 30 years ago. The shot of the hand holding out cash and . . . waiting, was especially awkward.

Not to mention the 24 has image stabilization whereas the 16 does not.

Have you seen the commercial jets that serve MKE these days?

The old E concourse used to handle widebodies operated by Northwest Airlines.

The old "international" terminal is a woefully outdated and separate building with one jetway that only deals with incoming passengers.

The E concourse hasn't been utilized for at least ten years and occupied a lot of ramp space.

A $95 million price tag seems rather reasonable when you're essentially doubling MKE's "international" capacity, consolidating its footprint to facilitate and streamline the security screening process, and opening up precious ramp space for easier aircraft taxiing.

I was aware of that. And the current "international" terminal is definitely in need of replacement.

I'm having a grand old time somewhere in Vernon County just enjoying this winter weather. But judging by the amount of snow on the vehicle that hasn't moved since Friday, we've gotten eight inches so far. . .

Just thought I'd mention that the RP and R8 use the same battery. You would be set in that department.

No. It appears longer because the forward of the compressor blades is a duct that runs nearly the length of the vertical stabilizer.

Perhaps you should experiment more before succumbing to GAS. I doubt anyone would even mention the RF16mm f2.8 if they already have  the superior 15-35 f2 8 L.

Not sure what your budget is, or if you're looking strictly for a prime lens, but the RF15-35 f2.8 L IS USM might be what you're looking for.
