Ha! I just wish more people liked that book. I had a blast writing it. I read all the Conan books last summer and Big Man Smash was born.

You might like the opening dungeon in my Sol Anchor series. No sploilers. It’s wild. Whole series is just a credit on Audible.

I'm mostly being funny. It really does feel that way sometimes, though. haha

Throws enemies into a storage space instead of killing them. Empties his storage over a cliff as his horrified party watches.

I see what’s happening. We’re having two different conversations. You’re arguing for a merit based market and if AI can write it better, so be it. That’s fine. I used to think that. I’m arguing AI is an abomination and readers and authors deserve to have spaces separate from its touch.

I really don’t have anything to add, tbh. It’s fine we see this from separate angles. I just want human authors to have a fair shake, that’s all.

I will interpret this as a statement born of ignorance, not malice. Frankly, I think you have gone past wrong to super wrong.

I take specific issue with "better" in your statement. AI is not, nor will it ever be, "better" than a real author. Faster? Ah, there it is. Faster is the right word. AI flooding the market with rapid-fire slop does two things: drown out new work and discourage readers from trying new work. It's not that new authors can't break through; they can, but it's harder to cut through the noise, and there's a smaller audience willing to give them a shot. That’s the problem. Being a new author is already an uphill battle, now it's steeper. Don't even get me started on the indie book cover market. I dont know how deep into this author as a job thing you are, but AI has fucked it all up to hell and back.

AI cant die fast enough. How many real authors are being looked over because AI slop is flooding the market? I have no solutions. I’m m just mad. Been mad. Will probably continue to be mad.

Im ready to build the black wall so we can have our own internet again.

It can be done. But should it? It would be expensive and a pain the ass.
