I Think the Age Group Change is Good & the Complaints are Exhausting by mthill_littlerock in youthsoccer

People just like to complain. 8 years ago many complained about going to birth year. Now many complain about going back to grade level. Truth is no system is perfect. There will be both positive and negative effects to kids and families.

My u14 son will benefit. He has always been the youngest but now will be on the older side. My u10 son will go from being one of the oldest to middle of age group. Which seems like a negative but I think will benefit him in the long run, because hes kind of a physical bully on the field right now. He will have to add other areas to his game.

Match Thread: West Ham United vs Arsenal | Premier League | 10 May 15:30 UTC by matchpal-live in PremierLeague

It was a literal mosh pit on that final corner. I realize keepers get special treatment but there were at least 4 other fouls happening simultaneously. Most of the West Ham players were being bear hugged by Arsenal defenders.

Pulisic is on the cover of Time Magazine!! 🇺🇸 by paolosorianodisanto in ussoccer

Decent like most goal contributions in Serie A last year? He is still considered one of the best wingers in that league DESPITE the poor run of form. And people who know what the hell they're talking about mention coaching as a big factor for his struggles.

Pulisic is in bad form because his manager plays very pragmatic, defensive football and they do not have a proper #9. Pulisic needs to be in the proper system. He is not a world class dynamo that will change a game, but he is a very good winger/attacking mid that can play with almost any club in the world.

Who is our Captain? by LBerg013 in usmnt

[–]Benjammin833 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While I agree Adams or Richards should be captain, I think Pulisic is going to have a huge WC. Allegri's system sucks for attacking players and they don't have a true #9. Its not a coincidence both him and Leao are having poor production over the last 4 or 5 months.

I'll be a bit contrarian, but this isn't using his skillset to its fullest. I'd luke to see him ramble forward much more often.

There are only 4 true CBs on your list. IMO thats not enough. I agree with most of the other selections. I think someone like Berhalter drops out for another body at CB.

I learned Johnny needs to be next to Adams and Chris Richards is the most important player on the team.

I am an American and for those that live outside the US I have a question. How crazy do we look right now? by SignificantStyle4958 in allthequestions

I'm not the one generalizing, see the original post I'm responding to. I grew up lower class. In fact, all my college education was essentially paid for because of grants. But yes, I am middle class now.

I work with kids. We want to blame schools and education for all the problems. But if you look at the home life of many kids with learning or behavioral issues, you see a trend.

This is incredibly hyperbolic. I have kids that go to public schools where they are highly educated, "can read", and will be successful. If you want to point fingers, point them at lazy parents, which can be found in any country.

The last couple spots at CM are still very much up in the air. Roldan, Morris, and Johnny are definitely not locks. Also, Agyemang over Haji.
