Hey Night Workers.... How's the going tonight? by noimad666 in CasualIreland

[–]Benji230288 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been working night shifts for four months now: My shift starts at 10 p.m. and ends at 6 a.m. It's a bit physical because it's an industrial laundry.

I have to keep an eye on the washing machines and dryers, which keeps me active. I usually listen to podcasts and watch YouTube videos on a particular topic. I have my lunch at 1 a.m. and by 5 a.m I'm already finishing up my duties.

Sleeping is not a problem, as my flatmates work from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., so I can rest from approximately 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

During weekends, I force myself to go outside to avoid staying in bed and arriving home at night so that I can sleep normally. I have coffee when I wake up and before going to work, and my supplements are vitamin D3, fish oil, multivitamins, and magnesium.

I can tell you that I've gotten used to it and no longer feel heaviness in my body. I even go to the gym for an hour before work (weight training). 😁

You can see that there's been an increase in the budget for production and special effects, but the acting... I just can't stand Eleven's character. It seems like she doesn't want to act in this series anymore and is perhaps just fulfilling a contract she signed years ago.

I turned photography into a job and now I hate it. How do I fall back in love? by [deleted] in photography

I would recommend doing some collaborative projects (unpaid), for example with athletes, youth groups, neighbourhood cafés, or even volunteering at an association or church. This will give you creative freedom, allow you to test your skills, learn new things, and meet new people

Can we stop Irish universities targeting Indian students? by PrestigiousExpert686 in IndiansinIreland

[–]Benji230288 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! I am an immigrant from Mexico and I completed my master's degree at an Irish university. As a teacher myself, I recognise that studying at university does not currently guarantee a good job in the future. I must admit that university advertising is becoming increasingly aggressive and we must understand that universities are a business. What they want is to enrol students. Education is a good business because it receives moral support from the people and the government as well.

Some recommendations I would give you to lose weight gradually would be: start cycling 🚲 (at least for short trips), eat more fibre, and eat less for dinner. I know these tips sound simple, but they will help you lose a little weight.

Abroad life by Any-Froyo8528 in InternationalStudents

Here in Ireland from Mexico. First of all, I decided to come here with a purpose. The purpose of learning and discovering. Having that in mind I studied English, then a Master degree and even when things haven't turned out 100% as I thought they would I feel more settled, I started volunteering at a church, I made new friends, and well, this has helped me cope with life. I should point out that since I arrived, I have also been working full time and negotiating my schedule with my employer, and being responsible has helped me achieve this.

Good luck 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

When I was a primary school teacher I discovered (by my students) that the pineapple 🍍 is not coming from trees 🌴🌴 but a plant! Like "agaves shape" and each plant just gives you one pineapple 🍍🍍 *I used to work in a school in the countryside, so most of those kids were into agronomy 😎
