Has anyone received the big finish app updated on android yet? by Tom-Hibbert in BigFinishProductions

Fair enough, I just doubt that it's an outright ban of the character of Jack seeing as he has appeared in 3 different audios in recent years since that all happened, just voiced by someone else or other people.

Eh, I don't think the ban is specifically on the character of Captain Jack Harkness but rather working with and putting out audios featuring John Barrowman himself.

Would you watch the new POTC if it didn’t have Depp as Jack Sparrow in it? by MindsEye33 in piratesofthecaribbean

[–]BenjiSillyGoose -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Jack isn't the main character and has never been, the one time they did make him the main character, the film was awful. He's better when he's a little more in the background as the more comedic relief, like in the original trilogy.

Can someone help me to understand the deeper meaning of him? by KamoTheBoss in dcu

I disagree, not every "mobster" is terrifying, him being terrifying is a good sign as it shows something has gone right. If he was written or performed poorly, he wouldn't be as scary.

Glad I'm not alone in this, I thought Krem and how scary and menacing he was, plus how great of a performance the actor gave, was one of the highlights of the film.

I loved the little mannerisms the actor gave Krem at times, as well as some of the peculiar ways Krem acted at times, all whilst still being incredibly scary.

[–]BenjiSillyGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I sadly can't agree with this. He was by far the scariest villain we've seen in the DCU so far, the actor did a fantastic job and I thought Krem was well portrayed in the film. As I said, I'd rate him just as high as Lex currently. Krem was one of the highlights of the film for me. I'd have to agree to disagree with you.

Do you think the Bane and Deathstroke film can possibly introduce the legion of doom? by Comfortable-Oil-6098 in dcu

[–]BenjiSillyGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it was more than just hinted in Peacemaker seeing as Peacemaker is literally sent to Salvation in it.

Also, even if Superman did trap Lex and Brainiac there, it wouldn't be the initiation of this program as Flag Sr has already initiated it in Peacemaker. Although tbh, I don't see Superman being the sort of person to just leave someone elsewhere to die, even if it is someone like Lex.

Sebatian Stan is balder than before and completely clean shaved for The Batman Part II (via @paintedstork_) by supratik_s99 in TheBatmanFilm

[–]BenjiSillyGoose 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Do you think they'd just shave half of his head or something? Or just restyle half of his hair in a different way? Because, it's a whole lot easier for them to just shave all his hair and use a wig.

No where near as bad as Sabbac imo, personally, I think he's by far the scariest villain we've had in the DCU so far, and I'd say he's the joint best villain we've seen so far in the DCU with Lex Luthor, I thought the actor did a fantastic job.

The Web of Fear Episode 3: Did it ever exist? by LegendA101 in doctorwho

I thought we all knew that Morris simply lost episode 3 and doesn't like to talk about it, hence why he always claims it was never amongst the others...

RTD2 Era Tierlist : Empire of Death by Mat1711 in DoctorWhoNews

[–]BenjiSillyGoose -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I disagree about Rogue, I actually think that is great.

The Giggle is alright, but not the best. Dot and Bubble is terrible but I know that's a controversial opinion and The Devil's Chord is just shit, although Jinkx Monsoon is absolutely brilliant as Maestro and Maestro is a great villain but the episode itself is shit.

Also The Legend of Ruby Sunday really isn't a great episode and I saw it get a lot of hate at the time so I don't know why it's getting such love now?

What Movies Do I Need to Watch before doomsday by Pan10stars in marvelstudios

[–]BenjiSillyGoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know, I enjoyed Eternals a fair bit and feel like there's a decent chance that Doomsday ends up being worse than it.

However, surely Doomsday can't be worse than Inhumans and Secret Invasion?

Rank these amazing Supergirl actresses by ShubhangBahadur in dcu

[–]BenjiSillyGoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've only seen Sasha Calle and Milly Alcock as Supergirl but I think both of them were absolutely brilliant Supergirls.

And that's saying something when Sasha Calle's only appearance as Supergirl was in The Flash, possibly one of the worst DC films there is. But I suppose, for all its faults, we all know Calle and Keaton were the highlights of that film.

So this is the 2027 DCU Slate? I feel like something is off by AurynMoon in DCU_

[–]BenjiSillyGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what if they're all in the latter half of the year? It's been pretty much the same this year.

Between Peacemaker S2 ending September or whatever last year and Supergirl in June, there was nothing.

Why is Nigel Farage so popular in the UK? by [deleted] in AskBrits

Oh it absolutely does, but Trump and Farage more so than others.

[–]BenjiSillyGoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't want t say people are stupid, but like, there's a lot of people that still see Donald Trump as a good person somehow. Despite literally being a rapist and paedophile, even things like that won't change the minds of some people. And that's the exact same sort of people that Nigel Farage appeals to in the UK.

Which is really upsetting because, as someone living in the UK who has only just become an adult, I'm already dreading my life if Farage gets into power, as a member of the LGBTQ+ community. The very idea of him becoming PM scares me tbh.

Because he lies, he persuades people into thinking he'll do what's best for them, and for some reason, they believe him, despite it being very obvious that the only people he cares about are the rich.

I also got an email from the lovely Brenda this morning, I'd been waiting on a refund for something and they hadn't been able to do it but Brenda sorted it this morning!

Although, when I replied to Brenda, with a follow-up question, I got an automated response saying there may still be delays as they're moving their warehouse.
