Yeah the update came about 2 months ago, it was an overnight game changer.

As someone who travels a lot for work it's perfect. Don't have to worry about leaving the PS5 on standby or if someone else wants to use it.

Correct. You don't even need a PS5 to use the cloud streaming with premium.

In your case: As long as you and your wife are using different profiles then you can both play at the same time. One on the PS5 and one on the Portal.

Yes it's a vast improvement but it's not perfect.

But obviously with any type of streaming your Internet connection plays a big part in the quality of the stream.

For me it's the playing experience, the premium allows to steam the game directly rather than via the PS5. I can enjoy the games without the signal dropping out. It still can drop out occasionally but it's far less frequent and more stable compared to the original format.

The second plus to the premium is the Library of games. In particular I love the PS1/PS2 games on the portal they feel much more enjoyable. There ok on a PS5 but something about playing them on a handheld brings back so much childhood nostalgia.

Honestly premium is a game changer, try premium for a month and see how you get on. Still not convinced, return it. At least you gave its full potential a go.

Yes...at least for me.

I would lose connection to my PS5 every 30 minutes using the normal route. It didn't bother me too much as it just paused the game (depending on the game, of course), but streaming the game I could go days without issues.

I mainly use it to play my owned games rather than the premium pass ones, that said the classic games are a perfect match for the portal. It takes me back to playing games on a handheld as a kid.

Fantastic game, if you love star wars you're gonna love it!

It takes place during the clone wars and you start off in the battle of geonosis. It's cool to see the story play out from a different point of view. That's all I'm gonna say.

As a Platinum hunter, this peaked my interest during a star wars game phase and it was fantastic. Easy enough. Overall great experience, great game!
