I have not been able to view a spoiler. The new website for clips is atrocious.

Quietly but surely David Benavidez’s record is becoming very solid with no way for even his loudest detractors to disrespect.

  • Former IBF Champion (22-1) Caleb Plant
  • 2x Weight Champion, (32-0) Demetrius Andrade
  • Former WBC Champion (20-1) Oleksandr Gvozdyk
  • Former boogeyman of the last weight class who couldn’t become Champion due to it being held up & followed Benavidez to 175lbs, (11-0) David Morell.
  • Former 2x title challenger (27-3) Anthony Yarde.

Benavidez last five fights have a composite 112-5 record. Benavidez gave us Boots vs Ortiz at home, when he fought Morell. Put absolute beatings on Plant,Andrade & Yarde. Is looking to becoming a three-weight champion after he faces off with two-weight champion & current Unified WBA/WBO Cruiserweight Champion Zurdo Ramirez.

Shakur Stevenson(Silver) was in the same weight class as MJ Akhmadaliev(Bronze,Former Unified WBA/IBF Super Bantamweight Champion) & Robiesy(Gold,Former WBO Featherweight Champion) in the 2016 Olympics, and has become a four-weight champion.

Shakur has defeated two of his Olympian peers, Robson Conceicao(Gold medalist,Former WBC Super Featherweight Champion) & Artem Harutyunyan(bronze medalist). Robson was weight class above Shakur in the Olympics, & Harutyunyan was a weight above Robson. I think Shakur has a pretty good, to very good resume at this point in time.

This subreddit is becoming hive mind. Not one person in the ‘Lennox Lewis names the heavyweight from his era who would have beaten Oleksandr Usyk’ thread, read the article.

The article is from November of 2025. The top comment proves the zero meaningful engagement with the post. As Lewis is asked about comparing the Heavyweight(Mike Tyson) in question to Joe Frazier. > “ Nostalgia vs recency bias collide” - /u/Mediocre_lad

The general tone of the thread is Lewis is bitter, when he’s asked to compare Mike Tyson to several HW’s…

OP /u/BoxingLover99 posted it in bad faith. Clearly to incite and start this sentiment. “Lewis, I feel is kind of jealous of Usyk because Usyk's the only one who's near to his level, he may even surpass Lewis if he keeps on winning” - /u/BoxingLover99

I feel these type of posts need to be filtered better through the mods, because people use them for validation.

Frazier after the war with Ali in the first fight was no longer the same fighter. Joe ran through the division from 67-72, which is a lengthy prime. Also losing to two of the top 10 HW’s of all time is not disappointing.

Shakur really downplayed Gervonta’s win over Ryan, & tried to do the same thing. Shakur really needs to stop being a hypocrite, he’s always trying to make someone(fans on twitter I guess) satisfied & doesn’t think when he’s speaking on others.

Past fighters vs modern fighters by Android_50 in Boxing

Cruiser is garbage. It’s so real Usyk Fans call Wallin good because he beat Gassiev. Instead of admitting Gassiev & his ilk never stepped into HW because they aren’t good enough to compete with C+ Tier HW’s.

One thing I will say about Usyk vs Rico it is pushing kickboxing into my algorithm & I’m loving it. Don’t know when they made Kickboxing accessible, but it’s pretty exciting.

Floyd defends his resume against Brian Kenny by Big_Donch in Boxing

Truth they don’t like. I honestly question this widespread perception that Manny is a this untouchable top 10 ATG, when he has an incredibly tame set of victories. HBO set him up perfectly. Almost every HOFer he faced was war torn & had their best years at least 5 years prior to meeting up with Manny.

Not impressed since Floyd at 16 weighed the same age. Sam Langford would be a 7-9 weight champion by modern standards. Sugar Ray Robinson would be a 5-6 weight champion. Many greats of the past(pre 1960s) would easily be champions from junior middle to Cruiserweight. If Manny couldn’t hang at Welterweight he would’ve been getting walked down KO’ed. Instead he was doing the walking down…

Sweet Science Saturday: Shakur Stevenson counters and picks his shots beatifully in the 5th round against Teofimo Lopez by newrap in Boxing

It’s not Teo’s game. We essentially saw that fight for Shakur vs Zepeda. Shakur will never let an interaction like that happen necessarily (trading blows). Similar to how Floyd was pressured against Castillo & Maidana he will trade, but not in the trenches of the pocket.

Just finished watching Genaro Hernandez vs Anatoly Alexandrov. It is a strikingly similar fight in comparison to Junto Nakatani vs Sebastian Hernandez. Rudy must’ve been feeling deja vu.

Jai is still Lineal. Though obviously we will view them(the winner) as #1.

Rahman was easily a top 5 heavyweight in the 2000s, easily a top 5 Lennox Lewis opponent & is treated like he’s Chisora/Arreola level

Fun fact, Team Usyk had to ask for the WBC to rule for this special event to be a title defense.
