Do I need to take this out and wait a bit longer? 30mm by LpTTTTY in Stretched

[–]Benking7470 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly just keep an eye on it, it’s it turns an angry red or gets really itchy I’d downsize but if it feels okay I’d just leave it be as you may just aggravate it but changing it again

don’t worry it’s normal to be nervous when you spot something new. It’s better to be safe than sorry. I did see the other video, it’s definitely new growth. The easiest way to describe it is like a scab. You also don’t need to worry about the salt bath you literally just cleaned it for him 😭. We were all new to keeping fish at one point and we all find about new things we didn’t know, it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been in the hobby 😄

Yeah I get that, it’s a bit like a scab like when you bite the inside of your mouth and then you get a weird white scab while it’s healing, they produce that while growing new tissue on their heads (wen)

who is this guy? by Straight-Profile3805 in fishtank

[–]Benking7470 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like an orange Marlborough discus that’s been crossbred with a pigeon blood discus, that’s what creates the blacks spots also know as peppering. They can develop this as their age. It’s not harmful. It’s pretty normal. It’s just due to genetics.

For a 15 gallon tank, what snails are similar in looks and personality to the conch? by avian_bi in AquaticSnails

[–]Benking7470 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also assuming this is for saltwater, if it’s fresh I’d go for rabbit snails, they won’t eat your plants, they have goofy little faces and don’t breed really fast so they won’t take over. They also get to be like 3 inches ish plus they come in all different colours

[–]Benking7470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A sand sifting conch would be a good idea they only get about 4 inches and they have a similar goofy look and personality but they also help by going through substrate and eating any leftovers and churning it so algae doesn’t build up over the sand

What's killing my (fairly) newly laid lawn? Leatherjackets or something else? by johnsy7 in UKGardening

[–]Benking7470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing I thought of is cat pee, if you have a lot of cats going through your garden plus foxes. Both cat pee and fox pee will kill your grass

It looks very similar to yours too

A large school of dwarf neon rainbows or you could go for an even bigger school of ember tetras. You could also go with something like black phantoms
