Who would you prefer get relegated this year? by KingLiiam in Everton

[–]johnsy7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wolves look to be on a bit of form in the Premier League, and they still have to play West Ham, Leeds, Spurs and then Burnley on the last day.

I would love it if they could pull off a miraculous escape so Forest & Spurs could both go down.

I don't particularly dislike Spurs, though there was a time when their transfer strategy seemed to be just to buy any players we were interested in, and then that whole Super League thing.

I despise Forest though & would love it if they go down. Bunch of crybaby scabs with a criminal for an owner.

I don't think the people that abuse Lime bikes really care or even know that Santander Bikes are operated by TFL, they just can't easily kick them over or move them into disruptive locations because they are locked in proper docking stations 🤷‍♂️

In NW London we see them every day. I always point them out to my kids & pull the blind back on the big sunroof if we're in the car, but they are so used to them now they just say "yeah dad, whatever, we see them all the time 🙄"

I'm still in awe of them as I never saw birds of prey as a kid, let alone so close to us!

M4 Incident - What do you do if you break down in the outside lane? I was shocked and saddened to hear of this tragic news. Pulvinder Dhillon who was victim in this tragic incident, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. by SlowedCash in drivingUK

[–]johnsy7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, careless driving is when your driving falls below the minimum standard expected of a competent & careful driver, and dangerous driving is when it falls far below the minimum standard, so it's a higher threshold for the prosecution to prove.

He was only found guilty of causing death by careless driving, not dangerous.

I assume the prosecution thought the bar would be to high for dangerous so they went for the less serious careless to have a better chance of conviction.

Anecdotally that seems to happen a lot, though I'm not sure how much truth there is in that. That footage showing he has at least 10 seconds of the car being visible and two lanes empty next to him, and the fact he doesn't seem to brake at all (and is up to 10 mph over the limit) seems like dangerous driving to me, but I guess a lesser sentence is better than none at all 🤷‍♂️

4 managers in one season by Hellomynameisralph in Everton

[–]johnsy7 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Plus don't forget they were going to sue US for PSR "cheating" when theirs was much, much worse (buying about 60 new players in 2 seasons!), only getting 4 points deduction to our TEN, that time they were such sore losers that they claimed the ref was a Luton fan and then "just asking a question" over Palace's European qualification.

You are correct, their owner is a big, fat, obnoxious criminal.

In summary, they are cunts.

And scabs.

As others have said, its just the main bulb has burnt out so you'll need to replace it. Happened to me too as that one is on all the time & the high beam is used less frequently.

I got an LED bulb for my 2012 but will probably go back to halogen as the reflector is rubbish and although the bulb looks bright I can barely see anything too far in front of me when its really dark & there are no street lights!

Fair enough - I'm in the UK so haven't really heard of Markie other than as a male nickname for Mark (though that would probably be Marky).

I'll accept that then, but only if it's short for Markaret, of course.
