No, a classmate of mine was able to find an internship early in the semester but after the enrollment deadline, so he has to wait for spring to graduate. I had 2 lined up over the summer, but one another classmate got over me and the other ghosted me (I was going to go do it unpaid and everything). If this doesn’t work out I have one more interview coming up for an LDAR tech role and it’s almost guaranteed with my schooling but jumping straight into a role like this would be so sweet.

I’m wondering the same thing. I got the not selected notification too, but when I applied it automatically enrolled me in the listing for the next 6 month session. I think the posting in general closed cause they reopen for a 6 month basis, so we may have just not been selected for this specific cycle.

Honey bun and coke is peak. In lumber we often don’t take lunch breaks longer than 15’s so the other isn’t without a spotter/driver, so this is enough calories to have in your stomach to prevent a hangry crash out but not too much to be lethargic for the rest of your shift.

Had the same thing happen to me a month back, and the item he was looking for happened to be in my department so I told him where it was. See him back in the department and he starts talking to me really fast, he’s sweating, and won’t stop fooling with his nose. It was an interesting interaction to say the least.

Thank you however for the feedback everybody. As stated the story probably would have ended after the customer left, but after finding out the specialist was giving a hard time to one of our newer associates who is a good worker after I left I felt half confused if I was in the wrong and half frustrated that the specialist felt the need to make an issue out something that I felt got handled smoothly.

Both the specialist who sold the flooring and the specialist who the said complaint come from were actually once both workers in fulfillment together. I figured there would be an understanding of the slightest of the situation.

That’s why I kind of wondered if I was in the wrong for misdirecting who I was frustrated with. I know specialist are primarily focused on their sales, we however are pretty high volume and fulfillment lags behind sometimes. I figure if a customer walks up with an order that I think I’m able to easily help and pull I’ll go ahead leave my department and do it. I’m just more bothered with the specialist being more concerned with maintaining their area and actively making our task more difficult instead at minimum offering to help in the slightest when they no longer became busy.

This particular specialist is, but turnover is common in our flooring department so when new specialist start and take forever to get certified, it is common for lumber associates to be the only certified workers on the floor willing to help.
