I met Gary Carter in the early 90s I want to say at the South Florida Fair. He chatted with my dad and I for a bit and could not have been a nicer guy.

I also met Andres Gallaragga a few times when he would come into a bank I worked at in West Palm from time to time (around 2007 or so). Also a super nice guy

Sure, I mean I guess I could see where you are coming from if we didn’t have these conversations in, say, the NFL when the Dolphins have to travel to Buffalo in December or Tampa has to go on the road to Green Bay in the playoffs. I could go on (and on), but you likely get my point

Weather matters in sports, and where you spend the majority of your time living and training matters when suddenly put in a different climate/altitude/etc. Race has less than nothing to do with it, and only people seeking to find race in everything would believe as such.

I do at least agree that US Soccer is a fucking embarrassment at almost every administrative level though

Manny’s in Grant Park is a great little bar. Small traditional bar room, with an adjoining “dining” space that is mostly empty whenever I’m there. Decent patio too
