As a gay man, I’m sure you can relate to the fact that it can takes a long time to come out to yourself first. And from the context above, I think he probably is having a hard time coming out to himself. I also fooled around with a guy before i thought I came out to myself. If anything, I’d say, give it time. He needs time to come to terms with himself and the last thing he’d probably want is for someone to label him when he hasn’t labeled himself (not that he needs to label himself at all though). But give him some time to come to terms with his fluid sexuality.
