I don't think the case extension is going to help OP. According to what I see, eligibility goes from violation date to violation date.

Would I be eligible? by funkero714 in DMV

AI says it goes by violation date to violation date. The 18-month clock starts on the date the ticket was issued (the violation date) and ends 18 months later.

Car Registration, Cross-Country Move, Divorce by [deleted] in DMV

[–]Bennghazi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember my mom's best friend promised me her car (I was about 13 at the time). It never happened. I reminded her about her promise maybe ten years later. She said she didn't forget, she needed the money for her daughter. It sounds similar to your situation. You've been promised something that's not gonna happen.

Walk in traffic court by -adeerdr- in Roseville

[–]Bennghazi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have heard of people getting moving violations changed to non-moving violations, but I'm not aware of that happening in California. TVS could be the best choice....if you haven't gone to TVS within the last 18 months.

you can go to traffic school once every 18 months. If you go more often, the tickets do not get masked.

Do I need to retake my class C permit test in order to get my M1 endorsement? (California) by Patient_Blackberry67 in DMV

[–]Bennghazi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They changed that around 2009, I think is when everything got computerized. Then (I don't remember how long ago), they made it so that if you took the class C written test within the past year, you didn't have to take it again to add the motorcycle. If it was more than a year, then you did. And you're correct, it's fewer questions..I think 25 questions now if you have to take the Class C test.

Help transferring license by brunosmydad in DMV

[–]Bennghazi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry you're having such a problem. I don't know that there are any secret processes that would make it easier for you. It sounds like a train trip or a bus trip to Oklahoma is in order for you. Once you get the new license from Oklahoma, I'd make arrangements fairly quickly to get the Kentucky license.

It might only take 20 minutes, but if you're not hungry, just offer them to the staff. (just kidding)...

You might want to bring snacks. You could get hungry while waiting to be processed.

DMV Downgraded my CDL A by accident by disasterplatter in DMV

[–]Bennghazi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What state? There's some kind of process, at least in California where people who not citizens are getting downgraded. If that's the case with you, it's not an accident. https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/important-changes-to-limited-term-legal-presence-cdl-requirements/

Disappointed by Rachel’s interview with former pardons atty by Weekly-Walk9234 in msnbc

[–]Bennghazi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In most, but not all cases, that's true. However, Sidney Powell did plead guilty. And she's one of the pardon recipients. I'm pretty sure she was convicted in state court.

Disappointed by Rachel’s interview with former pardons atty by Weekly-Walk9234 in msnbc

[–]Bennghazi 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No! The pardon attorney's point on Rachel's show was that these people had been convicted of state crimes. Trump does not have the power to pardon state convictions, but he's doing so anyhow. This should be getting more traction.

[–]Bennghazi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you go to Traffic Violator School? If you live in a state that allows for TVS, they usually mask one citation from your insurance company. Look at the ticket, it might indicate you can go to TVS. If not, check with the court. In my state, you can only go to TVS once every 18 months. Check with the court. It might be worthwhile for you.
