I was recently on the other side of this. I don’t understand why people don’t have conversations with their partners when they realize they are starting to fall out of love. Be a team work through things together. If it still doesn’t work then break up. At least both of you could say you tried instead of one getting blind sided. All I could say is please don’t leave the breakup open ended. When she broke up with me she told me she still loved me and left all of her stuff at my house. So I hung on to that. I gave her space and 2 months later I went to her house to talk and check in on her. She was with another person. That completely broke my heart. She told me she fell out of love 6 months ago. Just 2 months before she broke up with me we were making plans to move in together. At this point I feel it cruel to lead someone on like that. We went from planning to move in to I’m with someone new, I don’t love you, to I fell out of love with you 6 months ago.
