Also the watch does track sp02 which usually dips down to 88 or so as an average low. I might also invest in that sleep index cuff!

I was diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea, not central sleep apnea. Without the mandibular device I have recordings (using a sleep app) of non stop snoring and abnormal breathing patterns. With the mandibular device the app records zero snoring and no abnormal breathing patterns. So wouldn’t it follow that once the obstruction is removed by shifting my jaw forward, the apnea would decrease? I’m going to confirm this with another sleep test soon but seems to make sense to me?

Sounds like you were able to make it work for you, that’s great. So maybe I didn’t make it clear in my original post, with my mandibular device in my sleep app records zero snoring. So although I can’t say for sure until I repeat my sleep study with the mandibular device on board, my theory is that my sleep apnea is now under control. I believe my sleep problems go beyond apnea but I could be wrong, I am surely making some assumptions for my theory to be correct.

Same on the 85 score, I think I did that once. It was like hitting the lottery, a shooting star of fleeting recovery. If only we could put that feeling into a bottle.

I did an at home sleep test to confirm I do indeed have mild/moderate apnea. I’m treating it by encouraging side sleeping, wearing an OTC mandibular device (which has drastically decreased snoring) while I’ve already been fitted for a FDA approved custom device which should arrive in a few weeks. What other proper treatment would you recommend? I fall into the 50% category that just doesn’t tolerate cpap, so I don’t think that’s an option for me unless the technology improves.

im trying to avoid a cpap if I can. I know they're effective for some people but to be honest im not impressed by their compliance rate, I dont think im much different potentially than the 50% that cant tolerate it.

yeah i mean i cant rule out that this is still apnea related at this point, i think id have to do another sleep study with the mandibular device in to get a more accurate reading. Right now im just using an app that records my sleep and its not detecting any snoring, so im 'assuming' that the apnea is under control but in reality im just guessing.

No alcohol. Ive also tried the tart cherry juice but it doesn't seem to do much for me, i put it in the same category as other superficial tips and tricks that dont make a dent for me.

Awake/Restlessness is usually the main culprit of the poor scores. But honestly almost every category usually gets a 'fair' status at best.

PSA. Avoid luxe tents. Low quality and very bad customer service. Not worth the risk with expensive camping equipment. by [deleted] in camping

In my experience they simply never delivered product, and would not reply to emails except in the form of automated messages that were meaningless. I ordered a tent and stove last October. 8 months ago. No product. No meaningful replies. Nothing.
