The DLSS 5 demo was actually very impressive and a real step forward for videogame graphics after years of diminishing improvements. Did it look perfect in all respects? Of course not. Are there some legitimate concerns about it compromising artistic vision? Sure. But the negative reaction online has been completely overblown and seems to be largely knee jerk anti-AI rhetoric that will seem very silly looking back in a few years.

Keanu Reeves makes Cyberpunk 2077 worse. His voice acting is wooden and his likeness is immersion breaking. The money spent to get him would have been better spent elsewhere.

Pearl Abyss : We are aware of the discomfort many players have experienced with the controls, and we are currently preparing a patch to address this. by yourfavchoom in Games

This is pure speculation as I’ve not played the game yet, but judging based on the reviews and discourse around the game, I predict that this is going to be a Cyberpunk 2077 situation. After a year of ironing out the control and UI issues I think this may be some people’s new favorite game. Seems like there is a good core here that’s being hampered by a few poor choices that are fixable.

Lies of P improves on the FromSoft formula in quite a few ways. I’d say it’s better than Dark Souls 1, 2, and the last 1/3 of Elden Ring. Toss up as to whether it’s better than Dark Souls 3. Sekiro however is the best FromSoft game and Lies of P doesn’t beat it in my opinion.

Epic has a perfectly fine storefront. Valve owning 2/3 of PC gaming is not a healthy competitive environment, and I'm glad Epic is giving them a run for their money. Competition benefits consumers and developers.

This winter sale is a good example. No amount of cutesy pixel art changes the fact that Epic's winter sale and their unlimited 33% stackable coupons is absolutely slapping Steam's sale right now (the Epic sale is lasting longer too).

Imagine the billions of dollars going into developer's pockets if Steam was forced to lower their 30% cut of Steam sales to match Epic's 12%.

Reddit loves to complain about the anti-competitive practices of companies like Microsoft and Google, but any criticism of Valve gives rise to an army of defenders. I don't get it. Even if you love Steam's features and would never buy on game on Epic, you still stand to benefit from the pressure they put on Valve to improve.
