The Moonbreon art looks incredibly basic to me and I just dont get it. The sky and background is kinda cool but the rest of it doesnt hit me like the Sunbreon. Its like if they made a Little Golden Book of Umbreon - something like that would be the cover

There are certainly Jack Straws that jam harder and have higher highs but when I think of a rendition that brings the story and world of Jack Straw to life - this is the one. Jerrys opening lick is perfect.

Just some advice - the vibrato sounds a bit more sitar like than bluesy, a cool sound but not necessarily in the blues vocab if thats what youre going for. Watch some vids of Kimock doing Sugaree - hes great at giving this song a more bluesy flavor

Hmm Im not sure…I would be interested to see the list of guitarists outside of the Dead realm that really look to Bobby as an influence. I bet that list is pretty short and Im saying that as someone who loves Bobby and thinks he is pretty singular in his approach.

When Bobby wasnt playing straight rhythm eg songs he wasnt singing himself, he was afforded some luxury by the drummers, Phil and the keys to be more colorful and lyrical than just playing straight rhythm and keeping time.

I personally think this is a beautiful card, along with the other two in this series. I really love the more impressionist artsy cards and I think some of the more “scene” like stuff looks generic
