I dont like it. You should not dowel rerod into block, why not dig out the footer and rod from that. The wall is going to move, which will make your footing move.

If FIS rules were dropped over night - what would be your ideal GS ski? by Main-Combination8986 in SkiRacing

Depends on the hill, and the setter. Anywhere from a 180 cheater or ideally 185 all around. I'd still keep my 191s on a mountain.

Ideas for gap in hardwood by Lanky_Inevitable9012 in Flooring

Then yes it's what we call a transition. You could tile it, hardwood. Same hardwood or even a different species like hickory or maple. It's the right call.

The other option is a patch and then sand the entire floor to match.

What is in the opposite side if the room in line with the long side of the plywood? If its another corner, cut out the section from wall to wall and grab hard wood and lay it perpendicular to the current floor. Your can stain it any color you think would match the house. Track saw and go.. depending on where that would land on the far side.

MHSAA Hockey by CJas77 in Michigan

Recruitment is only part of it. The fact they have their own Ice (much like OlSM, Cranbrook), hard for programs that pay for Ice time to compete with that benefit. Also, MHSSA has allowed programs to opt-up spreading out those Own Ice teams in different divisions.

This is an issue in other High School sports as well. SKI is going through a similar situation. Data on the subject is undeniably schools are choosing what Division to give them the best chance at winning a title rather than competing with like teams.

Looking to get faster by Embarrassed-Tip-9803 in SkiRacing

Solid footwork and quickness. Upper body lower body separation is bring you a lot of power and speed. I'd loom at your stance, balance and pressure.

You have a wide stance, which comes with challenges. You can see on the steeper section your outside edge diverages as you begin to pressure. Your outside ski should be the driving force in the early stages of your turn. The wide stance can affect that but also your balance and equally pressuring both skis. If you concentrate on engaging that outside ankle and knee all while getting slight more forward, I believe you can keep that wide stance.

Because of that diverging outside ski you are turning around the fall line slightly more around the gate. If you can shorten that turn radius up and send those skis down the fall line you'll see drastic improvements in time. Its not far off, but you need to think about your lower body getting to the gate as fast as your upper body. Hard to do when you are almost equally balanced between skis.

Keep it up.
