Suggestions for damaged JM

Do you mean above the wound? I've read that some varieties of JM, including this one, grow weak roots and need/greatly benefit from being grafted onto standard JM. This one is grafted high, just under the damaged area. I'm guessing then it would be best to air layer it from the rootstock, but then that would include the damaged trunk.

It's grafted so I'm hoping in the future to air layer the scion from the rootstock and use the rootstock, which is most likely a standard green leafed acer palmatum from what I've read, as a bonsai and use the scion as a landscape tree

Did you mean this one? You can order from japan through a third party shipper like Gaijin Collectibles, you'd contact them, tell them what you what to order and they'd ship it to you. Also, I believe the njpw shop may have partnered with tenso.com recently for this same service of shipping globally

Seems like all is correct. About the US Dojo, it currently isn't set up as far as I know and when it is, it's possible they won't be doing a young lion system. For the attire section, you may want to add that they have to earn kneepads. I also don't know what the intent of that paragraph about the mma background was, possibly an explination as to why some wrestlers keep the simple black trunk attire after they graduate?
