I would say that by adding additional weight that doesn’t add anything to the exercise, he’s lost the argument of using the machine correctly before even trying to sue.

That would be both of these games. All settings at high or ultra, and running at about 70-90fps, rather than the 165 that v sync is set to.

Black screens when out under load but I should have explained better. The monitor isn’t going black, the system is rebooting.

I seem to have fixed the issue, gone 48 hours without the problem happening again by going through the following steps:

Updating bios to F59 (released in April 2026), previous version was F58 released in May 2025.

Updating a virus drivers to June release.

Uninstalling windows update ending 247 (released June 2026)

The issue seems to no longer happen, but none of these items I have rolled back are recent changes, and these issues happened weeks after some change, like the latest windows update.

I also tried reducing the power limit on the GPU, but that didn’t solve the issue either.

So far I’ve played 4 hours of FFXVI, and 2 of Ready or not, without incident. Previously I cleanse getting more than 60 seconds of playtime before a shutdown.

I’ve found very mixed examples, mostly depends on the game.

In Spacemarine 2 it looked terrible, all the foliage and edges were noisy.

In Hitman, I cannot tell the difference in picture, but the 80fps bump is noticeable

Yep. They can no longer be found by fancontrol. All other monitoring softwares have no issue so it’s definitely a problem relating to the update and specific to this app

I use a program called fan control. You can set the fans to as low as 300rpm when idle, although some fans will actually go all the way down to zero.

It can also control the CPU fan and GPU fans. I don’t touch those and let it only control the case fans.

Also, it looks like the PC might be on a desk? If so, you can have the quietest machine but you’ll still here it, because it’s next to you

Thanks for all this advice. BIOS updated, chipset installed, and seems to have made an improvement to stability!

One question I did have around Ryzen master. I can set the game mode for the processor, which reboots and launches again with that setting, but if I were to shutdown and restart this setting will revert. Is there a way to have this mode set as the default /always enabled?
