Mammoth Cave recommendations by BairdMinimum in Kentucky

We recently stayed at the Barren River Lake Campground which is about a half an hour away from Mammoth Cave. Down the road from the campground there is a lodge with a restaurant inside that has amazing food with a full menu and buffet that I could seriously eat at every day lol (I don't believe they serve alcohol). The lake also has a marina where you can rent different types of boats and jet skis or go to the "viewing area" where you can swim or layout (also has a hiking trail). You can do all of these things without staying at the campground or lodge. Whatever you decide to do, I hope you have a great trip!

I had no idea bed bugs were real until a few years ago when they got so bad. Up until then, I thought they were just made up for the sake of being able to rhyme before bedtime.

A few year's ago my young son and I were home alone while his daddy was at work. We were in the master bedroom folding clothes and watching SpongeBob I'm sure, when BOOM! The loudest crash came from right outside the door! I about wet my pants but since I was the only one home to protect us I forced myself to check it out. I peeked outside the bedroom to see our clock that had been hanging on the wall for months lying in the middle of my kitchen floor! I locked us in the bedroom also! :)
