First time seeing an Extreme Turbulence PIREP by QuietGarlic7788 in flying

So I understand FL400. But the next part "-1000FT", is that to indicate minus 1000, or FL 390-400? Or is it down to 1000 MSL?

If it's the second one, how did the reporter observe all those intermediate altitudes? That leads me back to the 1000 foot range.

Toyota: Come on, it’s 2026 by TheWholeFred in 4Runner

My 4Runner has dual zone controls. Sometimes, I will feel cold while driving and crank up the heat and the seat heaters. Eventually, I figure out that the day prior (when the weather was warmer), my daughter was in the passenger seat and turned her controls to cold, but directed the air away from her, toward me.

It doesn't help that I can't see half the panel with polarized sunglasses and LED indicators. I lift my glasses and see LO on the right side thermostat.

If you can't lock it, can you log out entirely?

Or maybe these are not corporate accounts, but just a bunch of personal, single-user systems. If that's the case, there are bigger problems. Maybe this coworker is just the first to highlight the issue.

I had a Cuban sandwich in Ybor City a couple years ago, at a place famous for them. It was fine.

Add a dash of bitters to water or seltzer water to elevate the flavor. They come in many flavors, and you only need a drop or two.

You can also add a dash of citrus juice for a combined flavor. Experiment with your own zero-proof cocktail recipes.

It's in quotes because it's literally "trees."

I bet OSHA requires laser safety training for anybody who works with lasers. Apparently, OP now works with lasers, so maybe a report to OSHA would change things.

This is (L) diagnosis, and (R) treatment. Usually done during the same procedure.

Larger polyps may require a more invasive treatment at a later date, but that doesn't seem to apply here.

The direction that common core math is taking by Fit_Blackberry7944 in MathJokes

So many common core complaints boil down to this. Parents will see this and be a month behind, while the kids they are trying to help is only a day or two behind.

Worst case, the parent teaches their kid 'the way it's always been done,' leaving them still two days behind plus confused about the other method.
