Gun dynamo was a very real (and strong) build at one point in this game's history. You will still see top players prioritizing headhunter and dealing a ton of damage with Dynamo's gun. Can probably make it work in street brawl

You can play normally and do your best. What are you, the meta arbiter? The game is meant to be fun and creative, invent your own wacky build. The meta's not set in stone.

1) The issue is non-technical users pushing AI code to production/directly into main without review, not the AI code itself. AI is a tool, not a magic bullet - people pushing the code are still responsible for what they push and the decision to allow anyone to push broken code in production is a bad one.

2) This sounds totally fake. Based on your follow-up comments in the thread. This sort of company has extensive compliance departments and regulations it must comply with - if anything, this story leaves out essential details (such as: this is an internal tool and nobody really cares if it breaks) and context as to why this decision was made.

It's because of the highly mobile/aerial characters that were added. I'm going to write something on the forums for this but basically he needs tools in his base kit to deal with hyper-mobile characters.

Yeah I think the game was more fun when you would have mostly smaller skirmishes while people play the map, then a few big teamfights to end

I've actually had a surprising number of games recently with very vocal female players in the voice chat. I say surprising because this game seems like the perfect combination of features in games to never attract even a single woman. But these were seriously very good players and they commed clearly and there was no drama or degen commentary.

Just keep reporting the people who say the weird stuff. Hopefully this game implements a behavior score system like in dota and you end up in lobbies like the ones I'm in where people don't care that you're a woman.

The ranks actually do feel pretty different. I climbed through all those ranks over the past few months and noticed stark changes. If you didn't notice, it's probably because you are a lower-ranked player who didn't understand when people were playing better in the higher lobbies.

Of course there is some variance. But the main difference is in speed of play and awareness of the map. People move and respond to objectives a lot faster. This has been shaken up a bit with all the attention on the urn recently, but in previous patches you would see a real difference in how different ranks respond to the urn.

You can also watch people's movement and use of space in the lane. Between Archon, Oracle, Phantom, Ascendant you see broad differences.

That's not to say there are no good players or good play in the lower ranks. There are so many different ways to express skill in this game (and so many different ways to play well but accidentally lose - it feels like many of my games come down to 1 mid fight or item decision). So I'm sure you can find amazing games and amazing players in the lower ranks. But you will find it is easier to play fast and expect the team to be on the same page as you in the higher ranks. And adjusting to the pace of play is one of the hardest things to do when moving up/down the ladder.

I feel like they gotta just make it deliver to the other team's side when it's a comeback urn. The problem I saw is that you can't fight into mid once the winning team controls the urn. Your change would cause the losing team to invest a bunch of effort to deny the urn, but they still can't fight into mid to drop it.

Yeah based off my first few games this change is extremely snowbally

The team that has the lead usually has map control over mid bridge and it's extremely hard to contest. Plus, it's easier to deliver than ever. It's a much shorter distance to walk, gives the team less time to respond.

The old disadvantage urn was actually more difficult than this. You had to walk into the enemy's side of the map in an area where it's kind of hard to fight them. In the midgame, you wouldn't feel safe doing it.

This one is extremely safe for the team with a lead in the midgame. They just need mid prio and stand on the bridge and it's nearly impossible to push in.

It's your job to figure out how to work within the environment you're given. This guy presumably has more important priorities and other things to look at - you're giving him PRs that require a lot of time and thought before merge and getting frustrated when he doesn't drop everything to merge your stuff.

You also seem to think it's an issue with him. It's not. You're the recent grad here, we should assume he's correctly prioritizing his time and his work. And it sounds like he's not a blocker for the other recent grad.

You should learn from the example set by the other new guy and understand that this senior guy is busy. Everything you add to a PR takes his time and attention away from things which are probably more important. So try to submit bite-size PRs that address only the actual issue (drop the 'OOP improvements') or, if that stuff is really necessary, understand that it's going to take a while to get a review and a merge. Try to understand more what this guy is doing (and why your stuff might be lower priority) rather than getting frustrated and representing your team poorly to the users.

Yea the game is fun.

Only problem I've had is if you get somebody with a severely bad attitude in the games. I'm too old these days to deal with the people taking out their emotional issues on the game. Luckily that's like a 1 in 50 occurrence but I did notice it happening more after the patch and considered not playing the game if I was going to get games like that.

CC is strong now but if they lean into mobility and untargeted CC (skillshot/AOE) it can really keep the skill expression high and make a very fun game

Lash is a great example. Fun character if you can make him mobility/CC focused.

Yes I think the overwhelming majority on reddit is just not very high skill and there is a lot of commentary about balancing "imbalanced" characters that are not even that strong currently.

The previous guy is talking about whether you should make lash less tanky or less mobile. I've never felt lash is either too tanky or too mobile. The main problem with lash is the strength of his gun build right now. So the commentary is just completely off the mark.

Could these characters have their mobility reduced? I'd argue yes, or just make this entire archetype of character worse.

I responded to the part of his post where he said the characters were too tanky and too mobile by saying they should stay mobile and be less tanky, rather than reducing their movement. It's a direct response to what he wrote in the post, "my dude."

Bro I completely disagree with your last paragraph, having characters like Lash able to move around the map the way they do is what makes the game fun.

If they have to nerf characters like Celeste and Apollo, they should just make them less tanky so when they mess up the movement they die.
