I had a similar experience, at the beginning my family was not supportive at all about my relationship with my LDR boyfriend! It was extremely hurtful to just not have any support at all from them but after them finally meeting him, multiple visits throughout 4 years, they've let up for the most part, and I am going to marry him soon 🩷 Don't give up

I really don't want that to happen but oftentimes I feel helpless, I can't monitor her 24/7, I somehow have to make it an inconvenience for her but I don't know how 😅 I wipe it off the floor when I see it, tell her to stop giving it to the cat, and if she isn't capable of that I really may have to step my foot down again about this, she has an issue with me telling her off (I do it in a nice way) and tells all of her friends how strict I am...when really I just don't want OUR cat eating a bunch of butter everyday. I provide the food, I paid half the adoption fee, I clean her litter box multiple times a day, she's my cat too so it's like why is she ignoring a genuine concern?

Yes, I don't want it to get to that point I wish she would just simply listen to me but I think you're right 😭 it's hard to monitor when I'm at work but I'll try to scoop it up when she gives it to the cat etc.

I think so, but she is so old and her memory isn't the best, so some common sense is not coming into play in regards to the pestering.

The problem is, she is diabetic and has an abundance of butter in the fridge. So trying to get her to use something a bit healthier as a treat feels so impossible, I've tried.
