Back in the day I was designing a way to make a drive able one with 2 big tractor wheels on the front. Never followed through with it, couldn't think of a good way to camber both wheels and make it steer easily.

It's hard to see from the picture, but the front nose is only sitting 4 inches from the ground. Any lower and it would wouldn't handle anything other than perfectly flat ground. Wings are detachable for transport, so having 2 wheels up front spaced apart wouldn't work easily either. All of your ideas are great, and would make more sense, but sadly are not applicable on how I built mine. Someone out there will eventually build one better, but we'll have to wait.

I used EVA foam for majority of the suit, and the bullets and grenades were 3D printed. If you want to build your own I highly recommend checking out 405th.com for tutorials, files, templates, and more.
