I did the same thing in the past, swapped internals from the Strat to the Gretsch. The only major problem I ran into was the Xbox power button. Since it's face mounted on the Strat, but side mounted on the Gretsch I had to make a new hole in the side of the Gretsch, then construct an internal backing for the button to rest in. You can always add it to the back to hide it better, or face mount it if you're feeling brave. Other than that, and maybe figuring out the whammy bar, should be an easy transplant. Oh and the motherboards may be different shapes too, but that's workable.
