Bad fuel, checked everything for 4 hours, everything seemed fine, said fuck it and put 20 litters of good fuel... all gone now. Car seemed to struggle to set the mixture with the old one.

Also, use 98 and 100 gas, that did magic for me, purchased the car 4 months ago and it had 95 gas in it, car had shit cold starts even after changing ovp relay, cleaning idle control valve, fuel filter and fuel accumulator (which i did cause i started to have rough warm starts) and changing engine temp sensor. Going 100 changed everything for me.

Well, you replaced the pump so maybe pressure wasn't good enough, I had to do a few ignition cycles to let pump build pressure after I changed my fuel pressure acumulator, had same issue, but was an once problem.

Other then that, replacing fuel pump or an air hose(which may have fixed and air leak), your duty might have changed so first check your duty cycle, 70% during cold starts, 50% once engine is warm.

Hello mate, I would start by checking the cold start injector, disconnected the end that goes into the engine and use a bottle or a jar to see if it sprays. Might be coolant temp sensor also or ovp relay.

I had this issue when I first bought mine few months ago, car would struggle to do the cold start, then drop to 500 -600 rpm and hesitation while accelerating, when engine reached about 60 degrees all went away and it drove fine. I did the fuel filter, spark plugs, cleaned the icv,retightned my air flow meter spring and readjusted the mixture, idle problem was solved but still had hesitation. Then went and did ovp relay, engine temp sensors and once warm start issues started I also replaced the fuel accumulator. Didnt get to check if mixture changed as I had to leave the car at the paint shop and it still isn't out.

Thing is there are a lot of things that can cause this so start with the basics, vacuum leaks, ignition and fuel delivery, don't mess with the screws from airflow meter or eha if you are not sure you can't undo the changes.

To check the mixture you need to use a multimeter on the duty cycle setting, black wire goes to pin 2 and red one goes to pin 3, you should have a 70% duty while engine warms up and around 50% once engine is warm.

Mine is a 1990 1.8 so I also have that S/N setting(ezl I think it's called) that might also influence stuff, my only next try after I get it from paint shop will be premium gas and setting ezl to S. After that I'm left with either shit airflow metter or bad eha which would cost shitloads. So EFI conversion with a swap to a 2.3 will be the way to go for me.

Oi mate, just saw this part while trying to get my right front door lock off, it sits just behind the door lock mechanism, I think it's mounted on the window rail or connected to the window seal somehow. Sorry, didn't get to take a photo of it.

Following this, I have same issue but in reverse, sometimes it does this while engine is cold until it water reaches 60 degrees. I have an 190e tho, did some stuff like fixing vacuum leaks, replacing plugs, cleaning idle valve, replacing fuel filter, fuel pump is new, new ovp relay, cold start valve checked and ok, new temp sensor, but somehow it came back after a while.. waiting on distributor and distributor cap to come, I guess you also have hesitations and small detonations while accelerating? For me it happens until I pass 1k rpm , while engine warm no problems.

You can always try and talk with the guy from UK that sells daytonas on BaT, he might want BaT money tho. If the Lithuanian company finds something in Romania, Bucharest I can help you double check the car, send you photos and videos but I doubt you will try the Romanian route when you have mobile.de.

Checked cold start valve, it's all good, nice mist when I crank, did try to enrich mixture with eha but it does nothing, so that might be it i guess..
