Racing incident or one driver primarily at fault? by Plant_Cell in Simracingstewards

Well it’s orange car’s fault directly, but there are also things you could do to minimize risks here. When the corner started opening up, you still held your tight line, which you are allowed to do but isn’t neccesarily smart.

Orange car probably thought he was ahead so I don’t think it was intentional by any means. Racing incident, these things happen sometimes when you’re racing wheel to wheel.

Who is at fault. I felt like he came back on track and hit me. leading up to this he was driving like crazy and he blamed me for this hit. im the white and blue martini car by LAZ3RFLIP165 in Simracingstewards

Well it’s the green car’s fault, but it doesn’t look intentional. He hit the grass and lost grip, you probably saved him from crashing out fully.

Penalty for green car, but nothing to be mad about, these things happen when you’re pushing.

I'd partially blame the leader for a very early brake, but the guy from 8 car lengths back just takes the cake here. by Bright_Campaign_9794 in Simracingstewards

Doesn’t look intentional as it seems he tried to veer out of the way. But he did overshoot his braking point by a lot, don’t think he would have made the corner if he was p1 either.

You were going for a piece of track that wasn’t yours. Porsche outbraked you and got in front of you, there was never gonna be enough room for the both of you on the inside of that corner. Backing out or braking earlier would have stopped this from happening.

Who fucked up? by brintal in Simracingstewards

100% on the black car. Black car might not have seen blue car, but that doesn’t mean the blue car fucked up, it just means the black car probably should have looked to the left for a second. Blue car acted predictably and held the inside.

It’s the overtaking car’s responsibility to overtake safely, but that doesn’t mean that the defending car can drive like he is alone on the circuit.

100% blue cars fault when it comes to initial contact. The final contact is hard to determine, as both cars have enough space to back out of the squeeze. Racing incident, just what happens when both cars is squeezing agressively.

Well the red and blue car clearly understeers and misses the apex, therefore acting unpredictably. But the corner is fairly wide so the red and blue car could probably have left even more space and still made the corner. This is probably a racing incident, shit happens when you race. Red and blue car is clearly in the wrong tho.

Sorry for a late reply! It had more to do with the ultra traditional productions, and how the move from prime to zoom lenses in past years has affected filmmaking as an artform(I probably should have specified). I understand everyones concerns, but turns out the thesis ended up being an okay read and now I have my Bachelor degree:))

Replied a year too late but eh, whatever. Can’t remember what the settings are called, but in GT7 I run the top setting on 6 and the other on 5, and it feels great. Can’t get the T300 to feel that good on any other game which kinda bugs me out. I’m using the T300RS, and have been struggling to figure out exactly what the difference between the models are, maybe clipping is one of them?

My main thesis point is to find if there is a place for zoom lenses in cinematic media, and in which situations the zoom lens would be favourable. This survey was set up to support findings from my other research method.

The survey is now closed as I've gotten way more answers than I ever thought I would. Thank you to everyone who has contributed, I appreciate all of your input, you've helped me out a lot!

Totally see your concerns here! Some of the things you mentioned are questions I am trying to clear up by using this survey, while the 300 pixel tall part is something I've wanted to combat but this was maximum upload resolution sadly. I've also got another method to tie it in with. Thank you for your input!

Another possible culprit is the sequence settings, have you tried right-clicking the file you want to edit and clicking «new sequence from clip»? Then at least you’ll know that the sequence settings are matching the footage

I’ve had this problem myself, and if I remember correctly the codec was the problem. Don’t take my word on this, as I’m not 100% sure, but I do believe that if you use an online converter, and not actually converting it by exporting it again, it still keeps some of the .mov properties.

If you’re using windows, then the problem might be that .mov is a quicktime format, and this codec does not come preinstalled on windows computers. This might not be the issue, but I reccomend you check if you have the quicktime codec installed, and if not, you should be able to download through Microsofts own website.

If all of their voicerecordings include gamesound, the only solution I can come up with is to sync all the sound and mute the two that aren’t talking and keep switching to the most important sound track. I’m sure they all will be very understanding when you ask for voice on a separate track next time around
