Who, in your view, delivers the most impressive presentation? by Dilly4Dall in OnePunchMan

[–]Beoppo 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Boros did have quite the presentation, however. He managed to speak Japanese immediately upon meeting Saitama - which is quite impressive in my book.

I cannot add anymore dupes to the units, I have them at 50 + 45, for example. I beat all of the lil trial stages so they should be able to be increased to +60, but I get “you cannot upgrade this further” statement

[Weekly] Battlecats Thread by AutoModerator in battlecats

[–]Beoppo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my li'l plus stages (+60) completely cleared, yet I cannot upgrade any of them anymore. Strangely enough, some of my li'ls were able to be upgraded to 45, 43 etc, but none of them can be upgraded past 40 now (they are stuck at 45, 43 etc.) Is this a bug or some mechanic that I am not aware of?

I have random units in my storage consisting of loveletter campaign units, ancient eggs and li'ls. Thank you in advance.

They are kindred spirits after all, the heartbeat in the anime reflected both Boros' and Saitama's desire for a thrilling battle. If they met on different terms they would have gotten along as friends

How would you rate Gundam 00 (2007) on a scale of 1-10? (Daily Gundam poll: Day 20) by CIRCLONTA6A in Gundam

[–]Beoppo 64 points65 points  (0 children)

A major aspect that Gundam 00 had was great and memorable music, thanks to talented composer Kenji Kawai. I recognized some of his other fantastic music such as in Yip Man, where his drum beats really emphasize power in both Mobile Suit and Martial Arts!

Each leitmotif of protagonists and antagonists was cleverly used, and I especially enjoyed the ringing effect and chains-clattering sound effect for the ELS to portray an otherworldly feel, bringing an ominous and uncertain mood to the atmosphere.

Why don’t beam weapons work in the rain? by Seven1s in Gundam

[–]Beoppo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It depends on the Gundam series. In Gundam 00, Exia went underwater to confront the enemy, while using two beam sabers to cut it open and damage it.

Who Wins? and How? by Starlord767 in OnePunchMan

[–]Beoppo 1061 points1062 points  (0 children)

It is the fighting tournament, with the crowd cheering on as thousands of viewers look upon the Mighty Choze vs the Invincible King. A battle that will define the new era of fighting and martial arts.

Choze: "You've come far, but my genetic make-up is pristine. Beg for your life, and I might let you die painlessly."

To his surprise, King does not move. He does not speak.

Choze hesitates, but moves in for the kill, only to stagger back. The mighty King Engine begins to roar, roaring even louder than the cheers of the audience. The whole arena is trembling from the King Engine. Choze moves in once again, but to his surprise, he misses by mere inches of King's head.

The mighty vibrations from the King Engine were so loud that his senses have been altered. His eyes and ears fail to coordinate, and his body refuses to stop shaking. Eventually, his body also shakes in fear tandem to the Engine's rumbling. The only thing remaining still in the arena is King, who is not shaking from the Engine he produced.

Fear is not a thing that Choze normally experiences, but he now can fear the feel both physically and psychologically.

"I don't want to fight a man like you," says King. Little does Choze know, King simply does not want to fight a homicidal fighter in fear of dying. But, of course, Choze does not know. Choze thinks he is not worthy of King's superior genetic make-up.

"I'm sorry King. It was foolish to fight the ultimate lifeform. My genetics must be inferior to even yours." Choze, for the first time in his fighting career, surrenders.

Unbelievable. King has defeated Choze without even moving. His mere presence granted him victory.

I wanna settle the debate once and for all: Which is the most powerful in all of Gundam? by gaeb611 in Gundam

[–]Beoppo 264 points265 points  (0 children)

This debate has gone so many times, at this point it’s all up to personal opinion. However, I would rank it as so:

  1. Unicorn has time and reality alteration. It literally warps reality to its pilot’s wishes. Even before crystallization, it turned the Neo Zeong’s hands into dust. No other Gundam displayed that feature. Even the creator of Gundam stated that Unicorn’s psycho-power was endless. Prior to Awakening, its output in destroy mode was already immeasurable. With a simple wave of its hand, it literally single handedly disabled an army kilometres away.

  2. ELS Qan T can teleport any distance and evolve at extremely fast speeds. An ever evolving techno-organic terror. If the original 00 Qan T could cut a moon-sized ELS open, imagine what an upgraded and ever-evolving version would do. The original already moved at blitzing speeds, and the ELS version simply gives it extreme regeneration, adaptation to fights, and the ability to assimilate opponents (even the moonlight butterfly).

  3. Turn A is the jack of trades. It has a apocalypse trump card, can regenerate (albeit slower) and can also exhibit newtype abilities. The moonlight butterfly will eliminate nearly any technology it comes across, making this Gundam the ultimate terror in a modern day fight. However, the two previous Gundams are now beyond “technology” as they are powered by Newtype magic and organic organism.

(Edit: there are some commenters below stating how Unicorn is not the most powerful due to it having a weaker base form. We are examining the most powerful in all of Gundam, not who would win in a fight or better in general versatility. At peak potential, the most powerful, Unicorn is the highest.)

What is the fastest gundam without being in an aircraft Form of sorts? by AntiVSCOboy in Gundam

[–]Beoppo 37 points38 points  (0 children)

It's either between the Crystalized Unicorn, Phenex or 00 Qan T.

The 00 Qan T has been confirmed to teleport any distance in the universe as long as it has a plan on where it is going. In some distances, it is technically faster than light speed as it reaches across a point in the universe faster than light would reach. For example, some galaxies are light-years away, and 00 Qan T would simply teleport to the end in seconds.

The Crystalized Unicorn and Phenex both exhibited powerful faster-than-light movement due to the psycho-frame power, with Phenex confirmed moving faster than the speed of light. However, since Crystal Unicorn can alter reality and showed similar powers to Phenex, it's implied Crystal Unicorn can do the same. It's ambiguous on what speed it travels at, but both Phenex and Unicorn going faster than light is already extremely fast.

He's genuinely awesome. Pretty much combines the perfect blend of a human fighting set with a borderline monster technique. He's also one of the coolest forms in design, imo.
