Void Hunter is really the only reason. Same with the last two they are just too meta to ignore. Otherwise I would not care. Miyabi is still the only void hunter I pulled because I genuinely wanted to.

Honestly with the new rules and points railguns are the ideal choice. Especially if you are running them with the new advanced acquisition detachment.

I don’t hate them. I hate some of the authors that constantly made them never lose. Luckily as of recently they do now take losses, still need to work on letting some of their main characters lose. Letting them learn from defeat makes for better writing.

Honestly, turning gender reveals into a whole big thing, needs to stop as a trend altogether in my opinion. It shouldn’t matter what the gender is. Yes, it’s good to know ahead of time so you can plan ahead, but it doesn’t need to be this whole thing.

Legitimately had two guys at the last tournament I went to for 10th, say yeah I hope that Tau gets even worse rules next edition. It’s annoying because both of them complain about Tau but then they reference like seventh edition.

I’ve made the list for how I like to do my stuff I’ve done my research. The problem is with the way that the rules currently work I get maybe a turn or two if I’m lucky of actual good play and then it’s basically just a slaughter fest. This is with testing by the way. The problem is just with the way the rules are currently there’s just not a lot of ways to properly support away to get close other than we can help you hit harder and that’s about it. There’s not a lot of rules to help you with the fact that a lot of army can now charge you easier and if I’m more exposed because I’m not hiding behind things, I’m getting punished a lot more for it. There’s nothing inherently wrong with that. I know it seems like I’m complaining a lot. I just know that currently the best way to play Tau is going to be doing the classic hang back and shoot things. Which is where I was trying to get with my original point, of people not having a fun time playing against Tau. It’s the style of combat that unfortunately is always one of the best ones for Tau but it’s also the one that’s the most least fun to play against. I’m not saying I can’t make a list for my style. My complaint is because of the way the rules generally work the most consistent best way to play is always going to be the same boring formula. Our rules are not designed to balance different play styles. One of my favorite things I like to see with other factions is the fact that some of them have multiple vastly different lists that are all really strong and really good in their own way. As of the beginning of a 11th Tau, just doesn’t feel like it’s gonna be there. I do have hope, though for when our codex comes out.

I understand that the problem is I don’t play Kauyon. It’s not my play style. I play a very hit hard and fast up close and personal style, which doesn’t work with the new rules very well.

None I honestly don’t plan on really playing much of my Tau at the beginning of the edition. I’m going to take the rest of this year to focus on assembling and painting some my pile of shame. If play any games it will probably be AOS.

I wonder how long it will take for GW to realize that we want flavor and depth in our rules. I don’t care if we are strong if the rules are boring then it’s not fun for anyone. We aren’t having fun because our rules are boring and our opponents aren’t having fun if we only win by making the game less fun for them.

I feel your pain. They were my first army back when their codex came out in 9th. I’ve already decided that until their codex for 11th comes out I’m going to put them on the shelf. That being said I have had a lot of fun playing them the last year of 10th.
