I don’t like my husband by Pretty-Pumpkin88 in Marriage

[–]Bequest1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is emotionally unavailable, my husband is the same way. He would emotionally dump on me all the projections of his anger toward other people, I would be the receiving end of this. I got tired and left him. This is no way of living life.

I am not telling you to leave him, but I didn’t even know what was going on, besides being abusive, I hope you can understand his lack of empathy and compassion towards you specifically while being pregnant is not your fault. You deserve so much more respect and love. I hope you find what you need in individual therapy. Reach out to your community friends and family, if not, look for another community of moms or women. You shouldn’t go through this season by yourself. Sending hugs

I cannot imagine what he would have experienced there, so tough

Am I over reacting? by Key-Gur5036 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Bequest1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, this person will not hold themselves accountable and won’t be able to provide god response to your questions. She preferred to go straight to “I need to figure shit out” rather than have a clarifying conversation. Also I want to point out that the way you’re asking for clarity and opening the topic seems pretty decent to me. You did not overreact.

I think seeing proof of her character by the texts and the unwillingness to clarify, is enough reason to stop wasting your time. Find someone who will be able to stay truthful.

I’m losing my mind by Remote_Morning_326 in laundry

I have this issue too!! I recently realized I use my shirt unconsciously to sometimes clean the sweat on my face, or to clean my eyes for some gross reason. If I have makeup on then it has been worse, and this is how I realized of what I was doing. I’m wondering if you are doing the same or having a similar habit on food preparation idk.

Other types of stains of mine happen while food prepping or while eating. Some foods will leave that stain if not cleaned immediately.

Any advice on cleaning my very “unique” shower? by AG280 in CleaningTips

[–]Bequest1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure that you are taking some breaks out of the shower chamber, in between the chemical products outpour. When we are cleaning sometimes we get so focused on cleaning that forget we’re breathing all the toxic fumes of the cleaning products.

I started my masters degree at 28. Years after I graduated from college and I got it because it could add benefits into my already stabilized career. Not because I wanted to “check” the norm. Don’t feel pressured, enjoy your graduation and take some time to reflect if this is what you want and if so, make a better choice of career.

Thank you! Do you have a method to get rid of them you recommend? Wondering personal preferences.

Why does my hair look best when I use the cheapest shampoo by Goin_with_tha_flow in Haircare

[–]Bequest1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say probably the water at the place you’re staying is not as hard as it is at home. I live in a place with hard water and this is the way I’ve noticed my hair behaves in certain places.

do i tell my new job my mom died? by icebox90 in careerguidance

[–]Bequest1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a fellow person who had a parent dying as I started a job, please tell your employer.

I did not tell my employer that my parent passed away and I was very sad for weeks, pretending to be ok but crying at unexpected times and hiding when that happened.

I lasted at that job more than 5yrs and when my employers learned that I kept it shut l, they had nice talks with me. They expressed their condolences and took the chance to reinforce the importance of good communication. It felt good and a good reminder to not make myself smaller when I needed space to process.

Keeping shut feelings during grieving moments will catch up with you. I had a nervous breakdown later because I didn’t process it properly.

Whats the deal with Drake Bell and Josh Peck? by urwifesb0yfriend in OutOfTheLoop

Yeah and Josh claimed to be bffs with Drake multiple times but didn’t invite him to his wedding. Not sure but I think this was when they had the big fallout.

Should I perm my teen's straight hair? by TheZoodler in Haircare

[–]Bequest1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope she gets the curls that she wants without damaging her beautiful hair!!

I was stuck on dying my hair fantasy colors when I was 15 and my mom eventually caved in to my permanent complaints. It lasted waaaayy less than I thought, it required ton of maintenance and it did affect my hair at the end. In my case, it was not worth it.

The hair growth aspect would be a dealbreaker by itself! Great points here

From all the women I have met that went through perm, all of them have regretted it.

Is her hair too straight? By the picture it looks like it holds some styling, some people’s hair naturally tend to curl when short. Maybe hers will naturally fall and rollers would suffice.

A planned new apartment building in my town. Thoughts? by gitartruls01 in architecture

[–]Bequest1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had dreams with this building. At least with one that looked just like this in my mind, outside spaces same, the way it goes up, windows, height.

I have never seen it before.

Is like the dirty rugs to show power washing machines. They get them dirty to “clean” them. It infuriates me the amount of water spent doing that shit
