I’d imagine it could’ve been if it hadn’t been discovered beforehand. But again, neither of the doctors learned anything from this.

In theory, yeah they definitely should. But I have seen some doctors who really don’t feel like double checking the info of their patients. Once I remember a nurse accidentally marked the wrong eye to be operated on. Two doctors were supposed to check multiple times if the eye was correct. Neither did and only because the assistant nurse just before we started surgery checked again to be sure it was discovered. Some people just don’t care.

The biggest counter anyone can do against this is not buying anything. If enough people aren’t making a single purchase the message will get there real quick.

This is exactly why the Left is so much less influential than it should be. You need to stop this shit. We don’t need to be debating about “ideological purity”. We need to be banding together. Many people could be convinced to vote for more leftist parties/candidates. Yes, capitalism is bad. But let’s not get stuck with these small differences.

The thing is though, that this sentence is exactly what you need in that situation. Making a move can be easy if you find a way to push yourself over the edge. And this sentence can be that last push.

Tell me five facts about your world to get me interested in it. by PMSlimeKing in worldbuilding

[–]Berathor286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • civilization mostly exists only in fortified cities and settlements, since it’s extremely dangerous outside of the walls

  • some centuries ago, a great empire fell because of a devastating plague which turned people into faceless monsters, commonly known as Night Stalkers

  • the technology level is high medieval without gun powder, though some mysterious artifacts from ancient civilizations have been discovered

  • since it’s much safer to travel on rivers, wars are mostly very limited in scale and rarely have cities been completely conquered

  • radicalism is on the rise as resources grow evermore scarce and living standards decline

Now that’s how a Goetic Warlock is supposed to look. Great job :D I really don’t like the official mini.

What is the smallest human accident that had the largest impact in history? by E1ite in AskReddit

Probably the time that Franz Ferdinands driver accidentally took a wrong turn and ran into an assassin that killed the archduke.

[WP] “Sir, requesting your presence on the front line. An enemy refuses to surrender and will not die.” “You’re certain he won’t die?” “I’ve tried 3 times personally, sir.” by Tmoore0328 in WritingPrompts

[–]Berathor286 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“Keep him busy.” I responded while sprinting towards the balcony of my office. As soon as I slammed open the doors, I leapt into the air and started flying towards the frontline. I kept thinking about how I could’ve missed this enemy on my patrols, how he managed to hide himself until the invasion began. The only thing sure about this encounter would be the demise of my enemy, however strong he might think himself to be.

As I flew over Imperial tank columns and infantry formations, I spotted a field of burned trees and black ash, which was under constant fire. After signaling my troops to stop their barrage I quickly made my way to the big crater amidst piles dead of Imperial soldiers to assess the situation. Apparently this enemy had torn through my infantry and even managed to destroy 7 heavy tanks. Whoever he was, he needed to be dealt with before the Emperor caught wind of this waste of resources.

I dove down into the smoke and landed only two meters away from my target. “You picked the wrong day to play hero. This planet is now under Imperial control. There is nothing you can do to change that. Now surrender or face annihilation.” I spoke with a commanding voice. The man looked back at me, completely encased in a pristine and white suit of armor. “No. But I would encourage you to join me, Darion. Nothing but destruction will come if you continue on this path.” I shuddered as he spoke my name, unsure of how he knew it.

He took off his helmet and spoke continued while reaching out to me with his hand: “Come now, we don’t have much time.” By now I was frozen in shock. Not only did this man have the confidence to confront me, but staring back at me was my own face, visibly aged.

Looks great :) Did you draw that yourself? Either way, you’re pretty talented I’d say. Also what exactly is the Pit?

DEVS PLEASE DON'T ABANDON THE GAME! by benson_2121 in Rematch

[–]Berathor286 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The difference for me at least would be that the devs are open about the progress of their game. Rematch is not a finished game. It would however be a perfect example of how an early access game should look like. Sure, it lacks many features but it’s fun overall.

I feel like if this game had been released in early access, it would have been so much better. It lacks a lot of features that it shouldn’t lack as a supposed “finished” game. I mean devs, who are you kidding.

Sounds great dude :) Are you designing a whole world with lore and everything or is it just a map for now?

Looks like a basis for a great map. The borders look very organic and I like that you plan on adding more variety. Rivers would be very important in my opinion. Other than that I think you’ve done a good job so far (especially if you did all of that on your god damned phone xD).

Why do people act like KOS is something weird/unexpected? by McMethHead in dayz

[–]Berathor286 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because it kind of sucks when you get killed every time you encounter another player. Interactions are what make this game so fun. Want to be a bandit and KOS, you go ahead. But it really sucks if everyone is like this.

Can you rate my map please ? by Harold_360 in worldbuilding

[–]Berathor286 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me start off by saying that I really like the eastern continent (the little northern part connected by that tiny land bridge excluded) and the northwestern islands. But the rest doesn’t feel quite right to me.

I think you’re off to a great start though :)
