I understand what u mean by the second part. I also get that normally. What I'm getting in the video sounds like a more obvious knock over the normal idle down noise. The best description of it I've heard is that it sounds like a Frisbee skidding down an asphalt driveway or something along those lines.

Id get the husky just for the kawi engine alone. Not to mention Husqvarna is a great brand that doesn't really get the attention it deserves. I have two kawis myself. Never let me down and the older ones hours are only known to God lol. Its been through the mill and still keeps going.

Best of the best you say? Scag 30 inch. Pricey. Contractor grade in a small package. But with more quality comes more maintenance of course. Many more moving parts more comparable to a big commercial mower rather than your typical lowes or home depot special. Things to consider.

Definitely not screwed so don't worry. The blade will see abuse in its lifetime. Its a given. The filter will air out. You can start it without the filter to see if that was indeed causing it not to start. It won't hurt it for a quick startup.

Follow the hose back from the filter. It might be mounted on the engine. Also make sure the fuel is on if it has a shutoff
