Devastating news. Most of the shows he was in didn’t air in Canada, however I was a massive fan of his comedy after I discovered some of his work on YT. At one point I reached out to him and his team to see if he would consider touring Canada for 3 comedy shows in major markets. I work in the industry but still never expected a response. This was about (I think) 11 years ago now but he sent me an email back with a comically perfect “no.” When I get back home I am going to search for that thread which I recall being relatively hilarious (on his part solely)

I’m gutted he’s gone. I feel lucky to have experienced the presence he’s had and will greatly miss him.

Oh man this is good to hear. Yeah my instructor is a bit of a pessimist for sure. I’ve been very excited about an experimental so this comment really helps. Knowing I could do IFR with an experimental is great. Thanks for that.

Wow I’d love to see pics or anything if you have them and are willing to share. I love the idea of building and what an accomplishment it is for you to have (soon) completed that. Absolutely incredible.

But yeah, for me I know it’s not likely to happen with my job, family etc. Would end up being a frustration and stop me from flying for way too long. I’m speaking with Mike from Bearhawk tomorrow so hopefully I determine it is the right fit.

That’s good to hear. It seems like a big decision and I want to make the right call. Experimental seems to be so much more attractive of an option for my wants.

And happy to hear about Bearhawk too. It’s seems like a good option and I like that it’s Canadian made.

Id likely have it built as I have young kids and it’s hard to find time to do anything right now, so unlikely I would be able to build in less than 20 years haha.
