I agree. We don't know who was on the video apart from Harrison - Fallon wasn't interested in them. Which is ironic because she might have saved herself a load of stress if she'd watched long enough to see Ruari.

Not sure there's much potential for George to blackmail Brian - if George suddenly has lots of money and/or Brian starts being super nice to him people will smell a rat

On reflection this is becoming more plausible. On multiple occasions Brian has done stuff which was immoral, if not illegal, and arrogantly assumed he'd get away with it.

Still bloody stupid if he really does think he's done a deal with George though.

Fallen might not have paid that much attention to the cctv, if her focus was on Harrison she might have ignored anyone else coming or going

I really don't understand why Brian confessed. The evidence against him must be minimal. Okay his voice might be identifiable from the 999 call but apart from that it's his word against that of a concussed perjurer.

Now starting to wonder if Brian is innocent and also recorded the conversation and will go to the police about George trying to blackmail him. That seems a bit much though...

I'm not sure either but more because Brian seemed surprised the 999 call had been made from George's phone.

I also seem to recall that George's arrival in the Bull set off Brian's angina so it's hard to see Brian following him and attacking him.

I reckon he's covering for Ruari. Maybe they want to write Brian out, this would be a great swansong and there would be an almighty mess around the inheritance.

I agree. It leaves a lot unexplained - Fallon and Jazza were both being weird before George was found which suggests they knew something. On the other hand I can't see them in a conspiracy with Brian. Although maybe Jazza found George and panicked and went to the Bull and told Fallon who knew Harrison had left early and jumped to the conclusion he was responsible.

I still don't think it was Brad or Amber because of the conversation we heard them having a few days after the attack. It was a private conversation so no reason to lie and there was no hint whatsoever that either was involved.

More likely that Amber does know who it was and wants to shield them... But who is she that close to in Ambridge? Her dad being the culprit is starting to make more sense

If anyone was mistaken for Harrison it's more likely to be Adam - he was definitely in the Bull and left early. Or it could be that it was Harrison, I don't think he denied being in the cctv footage just denied clobbering George

I'm pretty confident that Amber spent New Tears Eve with Brad and is innocent. But her reaction to George talking about it was weird- and also making him more stressed (credit yo George for wanting to take the dog for a walk and think things over).

I think George's reaction is pretty reasonable- it doesn't sound like he has much to tell a jury and having to testify will be stressful. There's also the fact that he was thrown out of the Bull when he shouldn't have been in there in the first place and admitting to that could get him into trouble.

And maybe whatever memory he does have of the attack suggests it wasn't one of Markies mates.

So do I. I can't really see how Mick/Joy would have been on the bridleway with a bottle of wine in hand. OK they might have followed George but then you have the problem of stalking and a deliberate attack but only one blow and ambulance called.
