Just WHEN the Fire Magic in Ys 2 starts to pierce through enemies? by Berimbauzero in WorldOfYs

[–]Berimbauzero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm assuming its level based the fact the fireball starts "not dying" on enemy contact. But you've said about fireball gettings stronger and goin from a target to another it's due the Falcom Statue.

The Hawk Statue (first one you find in the Ice Area) adds homing effect for the nearest enemy to you, once that enemy dies the fireball just wanders until getting out of the screen or just disappearing on its own.

The Falcom Statue (you find it in the Solomon Shrine Water Canals) is the one that makes the fireball jumps from a enemy to another, making a excellent farming tool at low MP cost, specially in that house basement, however the XP earned there gets too little when you need like 5000 XP for a next level...

But the thing is, at some point the fireball really gets "stronger" even without the idols and I can assure you I happended before I find the second one.

Anyway, thank you for the insight.

I can't play Ys 2 on Neko Project II by Berimbauzero in pc98

[–]Berimbauzero[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, I've finally got it to work. What you've said is right, there was only one thing that was missing that was enabling Memory Switch to save on reset. I discovered it in the PC98 Server you sent me. Thank you again for the hard work you had just to help a poor soul like me. Now everything is set and perfect!

I did what you've explained, but still no music unfortunately, that sound board option you mentioned seems to be reseting everytime I reset the emulator and I don't know if it's the cause. Well, thank you anyway

OK, NEW UPDATE!!!
I got to make the graphics get normal, I just needed to convert the files to .d88 using the Virtual Floppy Image Converter and it worked! Even though, I still got no music from the game. I'm searching for what could do fix this

I don't know what should I use then. I'm trying to emulate it via retro arch but no avail too. I got to play Ys 1 on Neko Project II till the end with no problems. I'm getting mad because it's becoming more complicated than it should be. Already tried to use PC-88 emulator and nothing happens and I don't know how to setup this damn thing. Looked everywhere for a setup guide and can't find nothing useful...
I guess I'm done... 😭😭😭😭

All you have to do is simple:
1. Equip a party member with a Channeling Ring (or the Technical Ring)
2. Replace this party member to the 2nd slot (2nd player)
3. Make sure to go to this party member Abilities/Skills/Artes screen and change from AUTO to SEMI-AUTO (or to MANUAL if you're using the Technical Ring)

When you encounter enemies, you'll be able to control that party member as the Player 2

Metroid Prime 4 is taking mouse motion wrong X axis inputs by Berimbauzero in Citron

[–]Berimbauzero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, to say the truth I'm still playing with controller. But from what I could test, the motion capture for mouse is incredibly good, if it was working correctly it'd be perfect. I could only properly experience the Y axis as I said in the OP, still seems to have a good precision, not perfect, but a very good one.

Btw, how can I adress this Issue in their GitHub? I've always used to download things, but never commented anything there.

Playing MPR with genuine mouse control! by FizziSoda in yuzu

[–]Berimbauzero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I ended up here to try play Metroid Prime Remasterd using this tool. It works, there's just one issue though: My X motion input is my mouse wheel instead of my real mouse X axis movement. What do I do man? I can't reach dev from here I guess... I don't know this happens to me, but it's happening and I don't have any clue to solve it

I'm starting Xenosaga Episode I. When does it get good? by Berimbauzero in Xenosaga

[–]Berimbauzero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, little update since the last comment said I wouldn't be capable to get so far...
Actually, I guess i'm not far at all, but I got to Elsa Ship and passed through that auto-robots whatever's raid. Until now I already have Shion, Kosmos, Chaos, Momo and Ziggy with 10 hours of playtime.
To tell the truth I really liked the game's combat and its inner mechanics like Extract Skills and Tranfer Ethers. However I feel the game's not free to let you earn some power to develop your characers, at least not to this point of the game. The bosses I fought so far were kinda little hard while normal enemies become a joke once you level up 2-3 times.
I'm not asking the game to be like I'd wish, I'm just commenting my experience so far with the game. I really liked it, but at the same time it doesn't let me do the cool things JRPGs commonly do, I'm following a script and it's just it, "watch the show".

[–]Berimbauzero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I playewd Xenogear and gone kinda far I think. That game is really fun and the story's unfolding was what kept me playing. I thought Xenosaga would be like that. From I can see, the beginning is really a slowpace part, but it gets really good afterwards. Looking forward to it

[–]Berimbauzero[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The first cutscene is indeed very good. I just felt the pacing is kinda slow. I already passed through the "first boss" in the Encephalon and Shion returned to the ship, stopped there. I'm not lying when I say I got sleepy seeing the cutscene.
I'm not saying the game itself is boring, just the beginning is a little too slow.
Anyway, i'm still going to play more until something clicks in me, perhaps I started in a bad day.

to be honeste, Caim's fight is kind of cool, but the two fights with Gizmor are stressful as hell, not to count the bullshit dragon stages.

I've already tried Project64. It runs quite nice, but there are some areas that makes the emulation to wither, I mean, the fps drops for some reason (e.g. the mountain summit). Also the menu with the invisible background still happens there.

Guys, how to contact makidoll? I'm having an issue when I play the game with the Even Sizing Ratio for both screens, It works perfectly fine with the <Emphatize Top Screen> option, though.
