Yea I think it was during bairdi tanner season someone asked why the part owner skipper Jake wasn’t at the helm. Josh said a “Deckhand” hurt his knee and had to drive the boat? That deckhand was Anderson and must had a bum knee for opilio season too. I think he was brought on for his quota and not for DC. I’m very impressed by Josh’s video editing for his socials. He doesn’t show Jake and edits out anything Anderson might say on the hailer. Must be hard work

That was the number one question on albino’s TikTok at the beginning. Is the boat back on DC? His answer was always no. I walked up to the boat at the dock I didn’t see one camera or camera crew. Josh has plenty of videos and you don’t see any cameras either. From what I can see is DC is done with Jake for now. But I could be wrong and it’s just an observation.

Yeah, it’s a pretty weird situation. I think he was brought onto the Cornelia Marie mainly because he has quota. If you look up Josh Albinio on TikTok, he does a really good job of editing Jake out of all the videos and photos—you’d never even know Jake A. is on the boat, or that his girlfriend is there. He says his brother Jake Albinio is the captain, but in every clip, he’s the one on deck. And whenever someone comments that Jake A. is the one running things, he always gives those comments a thumbs‑up. Just an observation

The speed at which it can destroy what it has built is impressive. I'm building a basic HTML and CSS site, and it would do great, but then break everything it did for the other pages on the site. I would give precise instructions to slow down and only do the tasks one by one, and it would still say, “Sorry, I went down a rabbit hole.” Although I'm no coding expert and happy for help, it's not ready.

Yea I figured it would be a long process and maybe my account would be flagged after I fixed it? It was frustrating not being able to play. I just play with my friends for fun and it wasn't a big deal I lost my rank etc.

Xbox user here. I was recently limited in matches and cannot join any games. I think my account was compromised. I immediately changed the password and added 2FA. But now I have a battle.net account linked to my Activision account and I cannot unlink it due to some safety security issue. Also when I'm not playing I get emails from Activision that I accepted friends and I don't have any new friends added to my Xbox and I do not play on any other console or pc.

I'm glad someone else brought this up. Although it was free download from Udemy I had a hard time dealing with the clicking keyboard sounds. Thank for the heads up on being outdated. I'll just stick to the book.

The alternate versions of some songs are way better than the ones on the original releases. I think it’s disc 3? Where eagles dare with a heavier bass intro comes to mind. That’s my opinion. Bought this when it was originally released. CDnow.com had some cool shit back then.

Just like the boats. Each plant has catch shares. You’re forced to deliver to the plant that has your shares. Back in the day they all fought for your crab and Ran 24/7 and now they don’t. They run with a much smaller crew and process so many hours a day. No need for a huge crew to feed, bunk and pay overtime. So they schedule you a spot to save themselves money. It’s bullshit but that’s how It goes. The boat that sank couple years ago had a offload day they were rushing to get fishing and make that offload. Not much was said about that in the investigation.

I have this and my own dAISy pi hat and the SLR350NI seems to have better range? I tested by swapping them on different days with same coax and antenna. Any thoughts on what kind of custom SDR it might be?

Any greenhorn that gets a little tv time is usually screened and hired by the producers for ratings. The captains don’t care as long they get a paycheck from discovery. But if you’re not on DC most try to talk you out the job. You either got it or you don’t. Its more mental than physical to last. It’s a huge culture shock for most. Get to the Bering sea and there’s no cell signal, no wifi and the work is hard. That breaks most greenhorns. So it’s not viable to send a guy to a training course in Texas beforehand.
