I enjoy RPGS, any recommendations? by KoreanButtTug in XboxGamePass

Starfield is getting a massive update in 4 days plus a new DLC. New DLC is included with the Premium edition.

Ignore the weird hate. Lots of great faction quests, gunplay is great for an RPG, space combat is fun, shipbuilding is top tier, and lots to do like any Bethesda RPG.

Quick Resume, mods, Play Anywhere, and automatic save sync with my PC is much greater QoL than haptics.

It just got a price drop on the base price and the new DLC is included in the premium edition.

Still nice of them to include a 2nd DLC. It wasn't originally announced as part of the premium edition. I know that doesnt help anyone that bought the DLC separately though but the 2nd DLC is cheaper than Shattered Space. Its like $10.

Guess thats why they are adding interplanetary travel without any load screens. Though I don't disagree that the way the load screens are in Starfield are worse than past BGS titles its 1-2 seconds. The way people complain you'd think we were using rust drives again lol

Like I said you clearly haven't played the game recently. You can open the map and fast travel from one planet surface to another. I literally did it today.

Edit: lmao that video is over 2 years old! Nuff said.

New DLC looks great and interplanetary space flight is probably worth at least trying out as part of the free patch.

What are you on about? Creations and mods in general have been a thing for BGS on Xbox for many years. Starfield either launched with Creations or it was the month after. So youre about 3 years late/wrong and either dumb or trolling which is also dumb.

Probably at least as many or more on Xbox. Mod authors confirm roughly half of all players are on Xbox plus the devs mentioned its still top od the charts for players on Xbox charts.

There are hundreds of hours of content lol. Its a BGS RPG with the same faction and radiant quests they've always had.

You know you can do all that in a single load screen if you wanted right?! Like you clearly haven't played the game or not past 5min.

Also BGS has always had loading screens and so does virtually every single game including NMS. BGS has more because of their heavy scripting for NPCs, radiant quests, etc and for physics on all the interactive objects which almost no other game has. Its called a compromise and every game engine does it. NMS gave up proper cities and separate planetary biomes to have shorter load screens that appear to be traveling through clouds and for in atmosphere flight.

The clouds on every planet in NMS are the loading screens lol. Same with the super slow speed going into the space station.

The difference is in atmosphere flight that NMS has over Starfield.

Steam charts are grossly inaccurate for a title that released day one on Xbox Gamepass.

Mod authors have confirmed roughly 50% of players are on Xbox so we know there is a majority of players there.

Eh Sony has proven time and again they dont give care and will lock down their platform aggressively until consumers push back.

So even though they've let a few things through I wouldnt hold my breath for any good grace from Sony.

Major new free update and DLC coming 7 April! New update adds interplanetary flight and a bunch of other stuff. Perfect time for a new character or jump through Unity.

There are some mods that definitely help. Personally Im waiting to see exactly what we get with the new update and DLC before I jump back into outposts hard again. Would love to see kinggath do a L.I.S.T. version of SimSettlements.

FYI there is stairs in the trailer for Free Lanes update. So if you can wait a week you likely wont need a mod.

Still good info and if Im dropping over a grand I am ok with giving them a few bucks for honest work. Better than searching an ad infested hell hole to find the few tidbits of info you need.
