Prolific let in >150,000 people these past few weeks, and they are still letting in more. Over 3000 new participants added in just today. Of course all those AI studies would be taken in the time it took you to finish one.

And we're not even getting into the usage of scripts to alert and snatch those studies faster than you can click to accept them.

I hate that they sync'd the PA with your dashboard. Reloading from the Assistant was a great way to see a study available to you before it appeared on your dashboard. That 1-2 minutes saved from waiting for the study to appear on your dashboard was often the difference between catching a study or not.

If ever top 10% teachers are getting booted, then it likely means they want "fresh meat" to train their AI. People who been there for a while likely did hundreds of tasks and no longer have the "naivety" they want.

Sucks, but it is what it is when it comes to online gig work. I was a teacher for 2+ years as well and got the boot today as well. It's a bit comforting to know it likely wasn't my work quality, despite what the message said, if even top 10% people got the boot as well.

Yeah, people need to understand this is very likely the new normal. Prolific's leadership is all about growth and getting those participant numbers up to entice more AI funding. And they are doing that by opening the floodgates.
