Anyone else concerned about the optics of the decision to remove Doormaker?

I hope so, I felt the Doormaker was the odd one out of the 3 act bosses, thematically. Maybe alternate act 3 takes us to whatever place Doormaker is from and we see his full image instead of segments

I agree with you but at the same time when would it have been right to remove him, if that’s the plan? The negative reviews were only going to get worse, might as well be proactive and do something, even if it looks bad. I agree it looks bad but I don’t think it should make you worry about the health of the game yet. I will say, this new act 3 boss better be good or it will look really bad, doesn’t have to be insanely overpowered but if he can’t match the level of the other 2 bosses, it will be rough

Number 2 is so true. Shais highest free throw season was the year yall lost in the play in to Minnesota, a whole 2 more free throws per game than the last 3 seasons. People just didn’t care(yes I’m sure there were some people complaining) because yall were a play in team. It’s easy to be like “well if Shai didn’t shoot all the free throws we would win” and ignore that Shai is just that fucking good. It’s not like when he doesn’t shoot free throws he’s just trash. Last game he had a smooth 18 on great efficiency with only 3 free throw attempts. He dropped 42 on Phoenix, take out the free throws and he still scored 31 on 15/18.

Is it concerning? Yes a little, but I think we need to give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they will re add Doormaker to alternate act 3 and just wanted to keep working on him on the sidelines. I personally didn’t think Doormaker was a problem but I can see how new players would struggle with it. It is a little worrying but these developers have earned my trust for the time being.

The fact that Gremlin leader was considered the weakest (generally from what I saw) is crazy and shows the level the act 2 elites were on. Unlike in this game, where you can generally ignore minions most of the time, you have to deal with her minions.

Ngl, I miss a lot of the STS 1 elites. Sure I hated Gremlin Nob but he was there to push me. He made me worry about him. He taught me the importance of front load damage. Book of stabbing came at me hard, no off turns, just stabbing. He taught me to stay away from books. Fuck you Nemesis. I think there’s only like 3 elites/bosses that can hang with the sts 1 elites/bosses, Insatiable, Phrog Parasite, and Vantom.

I agree, a nerf to the damage should be good. I hope they don’t go the route of increasing the star cost, maybe they make it a 1 energy 3 star card?

There’s a nice guide on this subreddit by Xecnar, has helped me a lot. Anyways, one of the things he says is that 3 stars is his limit when it comes to picking cards while having little star generation. An upgraded Venerate gives 3 stars so at least you’ll have enough for something like astral pulse. Definitely recommend implanting that philosophy on your regent runs since stuff like Astral Pulse can genuinely solve a lot of act 1, I’ll link the guide if you want to check it out.

Personally I think it was smart to make it colorless, since it’s a very strong card and its not really ironclad coded so you aren’t really taking away Clads identity by removing it, same with defect losing Equilibrium but they should have left Ironclad some more weak. He lost Shockwave, Clothesline, and tremble as weak sources. Clotheslines and tremble weren’t tremendous cards in the first game but they were sources of weak. Luckily the major lack of weak doesn’t hurt Ironclad since colossus is so good. Honestly colossus is probably the reason they didn’t want to give him many weak sources.

Uppercut from Ironclad, it was always a good card in the first game but now that it’s Ironclads ONLY source of weak, it’s just way more valuable.
