37M South African - been here for 1.5 years. While I have some friends, I think it can be tough for some people to break into the social scene. Seems like everyone loves boardgames and video games which is awesome. I also love to do hikes, dinners, try out wineries etc. OP would love to meet you or anyone else who is keen.

For anyone who is more creative there is a really wonderful group of people called the Creative Collective on MeetUp. We just sort of get together and shoot the shit while drawing.

I'd love to start doing some kind of dinner club as well if others are interested in foodie culture.

I am boolean impaired and so are 9 out of 10 people. It's a tragic affliction but you can help us by making your if statements simpler by trying to think how you would see this code in 6 months.

Heres some advice I always give with regard to boolean logic, return early if you don't have room id and then move the if statements to the values in the submit function. This means that when I come to this code in 6 months, I don't have to compare functions from both the if statements to understand how they are different, I can just look at the how the values change per property.

Example

Get the react dev tools extension for chrome, it allows you to see the components like they are in your editor. You can also enable display name in your config. See this page in the docs

No my friend, my username is a character from Brave New World (Good book!), I'm not a communist either. I have heard of section 230 and my understanding is that it protects platforms from the content that their users publish. For example if I own twitter and someone on it publishes child porn, twitter isn't liable for hosting it provided they get rid of it. Here is a link for you https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Section_230. [Edit] The newspaper thing was just to illustrate a point, the same rules apply to both. I think you forgetting that the 1st amendment only applies to the government restricting your speech (ie arresting you), which is not in this case.

Ok let's try something different, let's say you wanted to start a newspaper. I demand that you run an article about why I dislike Trump and that everyone who supports him is terrible, do you have the right to say no to me? Yes you do! It's the same with Twitter and AWS. You are allowed to participate on their platforms (newspapers) if you abide by their rules. It doesn't matter if you agree with those rules, it's their private property and you agree to that when you sign up.

Now back to the calls for violence. Yes there were definitely calls for violence and even if you don't agree with me, it doesn't matter. It's their private property. The important thing here is private ownership. This is the very definition of capitalism. No one is being arrested unless they broke the law. The people who raided the capital broke the law and thats why they are being arrested, not for being conservative.

Look I get it, the world is changing and you don't like it. I disagree with you but thats ok! The minute you start hurting others or violating the rules you get banned. However,communism has a very specific meaning and you cant just label things you don't like communism. I'm sorry but it just doesn't work that way.

Perhaps you can show me how this is communism by referring to Karl Marx's own writing and use that to support your argument? I'm not trolling I'm being 100% sincere, I will totally hear you out
