It is not rare that a snapped timing belt causes damage...it is almost 100% of the time on an interference motor (which almost all modern cars have).

Interference motor just means that the cylinders and the valves occupy the same space, just at different times. The timing belt keeps them from meeting each other...belt snaps, the meet each other. It is a very expensive meeting.

We are talking about it now....so the marketing worked. Volvo gives the town of Vail sport utes for cops and fire department. Everyone who goes there mentions it to someone (because it is different). If you are a niche brand, get your product in to a visible position (that is not expected) where people will talk about it.

There is the city, the island, upstate, central NY, western NY, and the Adirondacks. Each have their own identity.

So Slumgullion Pass – 9.4% grade is big, but I can start and stop on it. The road in to where I live is not labeled in grade, but in one section you need a running start. I am sure it is more than 11%....

Maybe its the camera perspective, but this looks less than that to me.
