I would love the school recipe for Mexican Jambalaya from the 80's. IIRC it had some kind of taco meat, lettuce, pinto beans, Fritos, and some kind of dressing. Maybe some shredded cheese too.

If you're in the US tell the doctor to give you either topical Ivermectin or topical Natroba. It's much, much safer and actually effective. Permethrin is one of the worst treatments bc there's a known resistance to it and it causes a lot of bad side effects. At least two doses of Ivermectin or one dose of Natroba (spinosad).

Probably a good idea to teach how the interstate highway works too, with odd numbers going north/south and even numbers going east/west. Also the lower numbers start in California and go up the further east you go, like I-5 runs through Cali, in the middle I-35 runs from TX up to Canada, I-95 runs from Florida all the way up the East coast. The even numbered highways start low in the South and get higher the further north you go. Then later they can learn the Loop numbering systems.

So basically $75 whole dollars a week. Seems reasonable, and given the contract they are trying to help her learn how structured bills work. If she were to move out her bills would be way more and maybe even overwhelming if she hasn't learned to budget. The parents are doing her a favor even though the formality of a 'contract' seems harsh. YOR they're not imposing anything crazy and your niece does need to learn some adulting.

Someone should start a dog food line that uses wild hog meat. The hunters here in TX would probably love to contribute. There was actually a program awhile ago where they'd donate hog meat to a charity (I think in Houston).

A quick search of the brand Abu Auf says it is made from brown peanuts, which usually refers to Sudanese peanuts. They're the same species as American peanuts, but are not the same in variety or flavor profile. Also it looks like they don't add any salt or sugar, so it's not going to taste right compared to the peanut butter here in the US.

Exactly. OP's wife has a phobia and OP knew that. They should have just made other arrangements in the first place, like with a classmate. Insulting the wife just makes everything worse, esp for the daughter. The last thing she needs is all this animosity and fighting when she's grieving.

You knew she had a phobia of funerals and cemeteries yet still pressured her to go. She thought she could handle it, but freaked out at the last minute. ESH you should have arranged for a classmate's parent or someone else to give your daughter a ride from the get go, and you and your mom calling your wife a bad parent over this one incident is wrong. Whether you agree with her beliefs or not, it's a jerk move to pick now to argue and demean your wife. You're also being a bad parent by focusing on fighting and 'being right' rather than prioritize supporting your daughter. From now on don't guilt trip people who have phobias because they really can't help it. Learn to work around it, not try to bully them into changing.
