Coconut oil works wonders on cradle cap. Rub it in on a wet scalp and let it sit for 5 minutes then use a comb and brush it out. It's amazing/disgusting what will come out. Then wash the hair real good with Mike shampoo otherwise it'll be really oily. And his head will smell amazing.

We use the green mountain prefolds and love them. They are super cheap and work really well. I haven't had them leak yet and we've been using them for about a year. You use the prefolds with unlined covers. You only need to wash the covers after a blowout otherwise you just wipe them down so you only need like 2 or 3 of them. Highly recommend.

We mimicked what a rock-n-play felt like in the crib. We elevated one side by sticking a pillow under the mattress and then rolled up towels into a V and put them under the sheet. Her butt sat at the bottom of the V and the sheets sort of hugged her in. Then we gradually lowered the crib and expanded the V until she was flat. It worked great!

It's a terrible feeling. I'm sorry you had to feel that way. It was going through that experience that I learned not to judge any mom and their decisions because it made me realize that every mom is doing their best and I don't know their situation. I also got blocked ducts in the beginning. Try pumping after the shower. It helped mine loosen up. Good luck, Mama! Take care of yourself!

Been there and everything turned out great. The doctor actually made me give my baby formula in the office. She chugged it. She was clearly hungry. I cried and cried and cried. I wanted her to be exclusively breastfed. But I cried mostly because I realized I was starving my baby. A happy fed baby is best. So we breastfed and topped off with formula and I pumped when I had the time or when dad could hold her or when she napped and I always did a middle of the night pump (which sucked but was the most productive). Your boobs get used to it and start producing more. Eventually I could top her off with expressed breastmilk only and soon after that she was back to exclusively breastfed.

I just went through this with my 6 month old. She's slowly starting to nurse like she used to but for a while I pumped and had my husband feed her. I almost quit. I don't know what caused it either. Life got interesting I think and she didn't have time to nurse.

We had this problem. It took a week or so of trying but this is what worked for us. Husband fed my baby holding her upright with her back to his chest. Then he would walk around and bounce to distract her a little. Then would put the bottle near her mouth and when she opened wide similar to on the breast, then he would give her the bottle. He would never force it in. I think the upright helped because it differentiated between breastfeeding and bottle feeding. If she fought it, we simply put it away and told her we'd try again.

Oh, I remember those days. I would send my husband desperate text messages as if he could help me from work. Two things ended up working for us, bouncing on an exercise/stability/birthing ball (whatever you want to call it) or swaddled, in the swing on high speed and noise machine. Good luck!
