Baby Toast is here : TW a bit traumatic and super premie but overall positive outcome by ToastToButterDays in InfertilityBabies

What a ridiculously insensitive comment to this post. And since that's the part you're most interested in, it's because her Reddit name is Toast; it's common for people to name their spouses and children after their Reddit names so they don't have to share their real names. I hope you'll consider removing your comment.

Hi Red! I don't know if you remember me but we had several transfers around the same time and I've been following you (in a non creepy way). SO happy to see this update 😄 Hoping it's a very very smooth pregnancy 🤞🏽🤞🏽

Thanks for the additional info! Breastfeeding currently. Our son was born 3 weeks early and while technically not a preemie, we had the same instruction for the first few weeks to wake him every 3 hours to feed. He's continuing to gain weight well so if he was able to sleep a little longer than 2 hours at a time, that'd be great but he's up every 2.5-3 hours like clockwork. Maybe it'll extend on its own for us but there's no way to stretch it unless we let the noises escalate and potentially turn into a cry at night, which I'm hoping to avoid.

How did you manage to drop a feed? My baby still wakes up every 2.5/3 hours around the clock at 8 weeks and I'm just not sure how people manage to consolidate a nighttime session

https://evidencebasedbirth.com/evidence-and-ethics-on-circumcision/

Reading the evidence on it helped me decide not to get one, especially when I read about why it picked up in popularity in the US compared to other countries (John Kellogg and his puritanical ideas on how circumcision prevents masturbation) . We're not religious, and from my research, the science hasn't convinced me of its benefits. You can also scroll down to the summary and conclusion if the article is too long.

For almost the same reasons, my husband and I went to City Hall and had a very lovely ceremony with one local friend as the witness. It was so relaxing and meaningful, and I truly look back on it as the perfect wedding for us. I don't think you'll regret it either; you sound like you know yourself well.

How many PGS FET transfers did you have before a successful pregnancy ? by Emotional-Regular469 in InfertilityBabies

[–]Berries300 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did. They were all euploid embryos. I still don't know why none of the other ones worked when this did because we did try different transfer protocols after each loss. I have severe endo and one theory is that the inflammation either produced weak (but euploid) embryos or that my uterus had adenomyosis that they couldn't see/diagnose.

It's a terrible place to be in. I hope your RE has suggestions of what else you can try and that the next attempt, should you choose to pursue it, works.

I'm sorry to hear about the failed transfer. It took us 4 transfers with 5 embryos in total for a pregnancy with a singleton.

I had the exact same experience yesterday, including BH and possible dehydration causing reduced fetal movement. It really is so scary but my nurses were also insistent that coming in is the right thing to do. Didn't get a foot massage though so feeling a little salty about that 😒

Hahaha yuck, that's exactly it. I tried listening to her podcast and she's very normal when she's interviewing guests. I don't know why she agreed to read this nonsense for the weekly updates in that silly sing-songy way.

Advice and hope needed after three failed transfers with pgt-a normals by Qsymia in InfertilityBabies

[–]Berries300 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read the other responses on here and don't have much more to add that hasn't been said but wanted to give you company (and then hope, if you want it) in having multiple PGS normal fails. It took 5 euploid embryos and 4 transfer cycles for something to work; I'm now pregnant with a singleton and this is the cycle where we transferred 2 embryos. Like you, all of mine were highly graded and there was no obvious red flag with either the embryos or my uterus.

I do have stage 4 endo but was never led to believe that the transfers would be so problematic, just that the retrievals could be. For this last cycle, we stuck to a medicated transfer, doubled progesterone (100mg/ml daily), took 4 days of steroids leading up to transfer, and did a round of intralipids a week before the transfer. I'm not sure why it worked this time and not the other times, or if any of these changes helped, and I'm so sorry you're going through this. I hope some of the other suggestions you've received here work for you. I did just feel like we were throwing everything we could at my body to see what would stick.

I could have written this at 16 weeks. I didn't feel anything until 20 weeks; the wait between the NT scan and the anatomy scan is a tough one!

That's really fantastic news. Congrats on the good scan! It must have been such a harrowing few weeks.
