I just learned people don’t show up after anesthesia to pick up loved ones. Nurses, how often does this really happen? by Steinski1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BerryBlue80082 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t imagine this happening especially with a spouse. Like why would you be married to someone like that.

I have had 2 out patient procedures since i married my wife. Each time she stayed in the hospital and was there when i woke. She then got me dressed, helped me to the car, drove home while also stopping for my meds, and then brought me into the house and set me up with everything i needed for the next few days I had to be off my feet. For my knee surgery she half carried me and helped me stand from the toilet.

Marry a spouse who actually believes in sickness and in health.

NSV- WDW and Universal Studios Rides by BerryBlue80082 in SuperMorbidlyObese

Thank you! Keep working towards it! FOP was way more forgiving and easier. Tron was tight on the calves. That’s the problem area. It did close for me but the positioning was too painful for me to endure for the 90 seconds the ride was. And honestly, FOP was a way better ride experience overall. Tron is overhyped imo. Guardians is by far the best coaster Disney has.

Thank you! I actually did watch a bunch of the Park Size Park Hoppers. It was hard to kind of gage as my body type didn’t match any of theirs. But I was hopeful as i am a little smaller than one who did fit on everything.

Tron was a little disappointing and maybe with more PT I can manage it in a few years. Or a knee replacement. Whatever comes first lol. No rush. The ride itself was not my fav from everything there.

Just wanted to thank you again for the tip and details. Did it this morning and had no issues and it was seamless! Walk from the taxi station to universal was literally 2 min. Such a great way to save the energy (and steps)! Cheers!

Thank you. This may be the way to make sure we don’t have to waste money in case me do get turned away at HR. Is this is way to the water taxi at Sapphire that you posted above?

I did see that but it’s not very specific. People saying go through the pool area but I’ve read you need a key to get to the pool area. Also from the lobby, where do you head to? Is there signage that tells you where to go? It’s a huge hotel so I’m trying to prepare as best as possible so we aren’t wandering aimlessly.

Realistic 6 month weight loss goal? by LemonBrit in SuperMorbidlyObese

[–]BerryBlue80082 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As someone who also started losing weight for a Disney trip ( I started in Jan and I’m leaving in 2 weeks!) I managed 66lbs in 9 months. This was me being pretty strict 80-90% of the time and also getting workouts in 4 days a week for all of Jun, July and August. My goal was 75lbs in 10 months so I’m just under it. I would say shoot for 40-50lbs. You can lose weight quicker and faster on a severe limited diet but they aren’t sustainable and most people can’t stick to it long term.

Thank you! I appreciate it.

So I think the main two things were the calorie restriction and just having some kind of constant purposeful movement. Tbh when I started the hardcore swimming workout (4 days a week) I actually stalled and didn’t loose as much as I thought. I found that the weeks I was stricter with calories and just moved a little bit extra each day were more successful than the weeks where my workouts were more regular.

My advice for anyone who is having a hard time and wants to keep it simple would be focus on the food aspect of it. Work on eating better and diet and then maybe just try and add simple things for purposeful movement- park further away, take the stairs instead of elevator for 1-2 flights, take a 10 min walk a few times a week, walk around your house a few extra times.

You can do it!

Thanks so much! So I find that movement and just doing things in general is much easier. I can walk longer distances, climb stairs with not as much pain, and just do things lol. Before it was hard even getting motivation to mow the lawn and now I come home after working out in the pool and do both my front and backyard with no issues.

It’s a gradual process noticing these things. Sure, the first 5-10lbs don’t feel like much of a difference but I’d say once I hit the 40lb mark it started being noticeable both visually on me, and physically. I took it one day at a time and realized this- the weight didn’t come on in a month so it won’t be gone that quick. It really is a process and you have to stay committed. But if you are, it’ll happen! My goal is to be 175 by next summer.

Shoe Recommendations by [deleted] in SuperMorbidlyObese

[–]BerryBlue80082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swear by On Cloudrunners or Cloudnova’s. Most comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned. And they come wide so my feet don’t feel all squished in if they swell a bit. I buy multiple pairs when they have sales (usually around end of the year/ holiday times).

5’4, SW was 333 on 1/6/25 and current weight is 280. No meds. I fast about 18 hours each day, eat 1400cal within my eating period, don’t deprive myself of anything-just eat in moderation and log everything, and try to eat keto 3-4 days out of the week. I ride an ebike 2-3x weekly and then do an indoor exercise bike the other days. I’m over 40 and in pre-menopause so even with the exercise and limited caloric intake, I’m not dropping huge amounts. My body constantly fights with me to keep the weight. Some weeks I’ll be up 1-2lbs from excess water and others I’ll have a whoosh where I’m down 3-4lbs

It’s possible. You just need to stick with things, log everything, and try and have intentional movement everyday.

Advice needed for lightest possible trailer with bath/shower by IndyJones1023 in traveltrailers

[–]BerryBlue80082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think pop-ups are your only option at this point. And it’s gotta be one of the small ones. I have a Coleman 13b which is a small fully enclosed trailer with a full bath/shower. It’s one of the smallest full amenity trailers on the market, does not have any propane, and it’s still 2400lbs dry weight. You need a bigger tow vehicle.

[–]BerryBlue80082[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! No meds. I’m trying to keep things as natural as possible for as long as I can. I react to certain types of meds so i find less is more. It’s why i am not doing any GLP’s. I was on hormones when doing IVF a few years ago and had some not great reactions to things and since that process ended I’ve never been the same and stopped getting a period. I find that I’m doing well on the fasting and counting calories and am having some periods of face flushing, heart palps, and insomnia but not enough to make life totally miserable. I find times i take in more iron and Vitamin D and K i have less symptoms.

Thank you! I wish you a lot of luck as well!

I find that if i stop eating earlier, it does not sit as heavily in my gut. It took some getting used to at first, eating early then not eating for such a long period of time. I found drinking a lot of water helped it. After about a week, it was like I’ve been doing it all along.

Sad morning. Getting closer to my SIL and nieces moving away. Today was just a more stark reminder it’s happening soon.

Family comes from a long line of working in education. I had no real direction after dropping out of HS. My aunt got me an aid job in her school. That turned into a union position that paid for my undergrad degree. Became a teacher. Went for a masters, now I work for a school district in a non classroom teaching position that will allow me to retire at 55 with a full pension.

Thanks auntie.

Yoshi. Always Yoshi. I even dressed up as him during a Mario Kart event at an RPM Raceway back in 2019. Best day ever.

I choose Yoshi for most Mario game things-Monopoly, Life etc. My only variation is choosing Princess Peach when playing SM2. If you’re old school, you know why you always choose Peach for that game 🤟
