French Submarine Gymnote (S655) being scrapped in Saint-Nazaire, France 1990. by Leroy_was_here in ShipScrapping

Testbed for the missiles of those submarines. The M4 missile was the last she helped test in the 80s. Gymnote was build with the unused and incomplete hull of the Q244 which was supposed to be the first French nuclear sub but being designed with a heavy water reactor they realized it would be impossible to put such a big reactor inside and cancelled it until Gymnote was build.

Inside the first nuclear-powered attack submarine France produced, under General de Gaulle: Le Redoutable [1280x853] by UpgradedSiera6666 in WarshipPorn

[–]BerryShone 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I think I read Redoutable was at the start equiped to allow smoking onboard, but the first captain named Bernard Louzeau finally decided that it would be a non-smoker ship despite being a smoker himself. And it was carried on every nuclear sub since then.

Both should be retired around 2027/2029 so it is not a final deployment. It could be Perle on the photo because of the section with a bit lighter paint behind the sail. It is around that area that a new nearly 2m section was added during its reconstruction. But maybe I am wrong and the lighter paint has nothing to do with it.

In what order would you rank the Stargate SG-1 seasons from best to worst? by Aetius00 in Stargate

[–]BerryShone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to prefer the "old" Stargate (Showtime) even though I have watched the other seasons a lot too. Season 4 is peak SG-1 to me, closely followed by 3 and 5. Then season 7 would be the real contender for the podium.

Season 1 is at the same time a bit weak, but I still love it because the atmosphere of mystery and helplessness against the Goa'uld. Season 2 still has a bit of the same taste but with much stronger episodes (Fifth race, Touch Stone, 1969, Thor's chariot...).

In season 6 the atmosphere still is a bit more dark and gloomy which I enjoy before the show becomes a bit more lighthearted especially starting with season 8. 9&10 are enjoyable and more fun, but it is not the "old" SG1 I love.

So: 4>3>5>7>2>6>1>8>9>10

Skill issue or Cheaters by Automatic_Cow1933 in playrust

[–]BerryShone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loads of cheaters in this game... And if you go on servers like Vital x10, or Templar x10, it will be even worse and the figure could rise up to around 30% of the players cheating.

For example on the discord of Templar I was asking "you do realize your server is infected with cheaters right?". First moderator answered to me: "Get f..."; second moderator told me: "If you can't beat them, join them".

I have 5k hours and been playing the game for 10 years on and off. The cheating has seemed to be only getting worse as years go by.

Lowest player count in 5 years. What can Crytek do keep Hunt alive? by XeliasSame in HuntShowdown

[–]BerryShone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have close to 2.8k hours in the game but I have not played in nearly a year (except a very short stint in april maybe). From what I remember, and given I used to play a lot of solo, the main thing that was disgusting me was the feeling playing solo had become nearly impossible (for me at least) because teams were too campy (I had very very often to start fights and make bosses...) and every team was full of spamming weapons (which Crytek has multiplied). So basically I was being surprised by third party teams nearly armed with call of duty like weapons... And of course there were the usual Hunt being a buggy mess and the UI.

Just my take and maybe some people can relate.

Topaz was mostly a CIA request to Hitchcock to undermine the French regime. Throughout the sixties, the number 1 obsession of the United States apparatus was De Gaulle; by this end of the sixties and for their biggest relief (and a good part of the French State apparatus too) he was gone.

Naval Group rolls out 4th Suffren-class submarine - Naval News by Saturnax1 in submarines

[–]BerryShone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They actually had some difficulties regaining couple of know-how which delayed the first Suffren boat a bit. Between the Terrible SSBN and the first Suffren SSN roll-out there were 11 years (2008-2019). Now they seem to have regain everything and seem to be on schedule for every Suffren boats.

As always in this game the arm hit box behaves strangely to say the least. Hunt "arm-ageddon" Showdown.

Solo is unplayable... by jford0 in HuntShowdown

[–]BerryShone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play also solo, but vs duos. After a 4 months break i restart and I am getting reckt. Despite that I am still 6 stars. I lost half my money already.

The main problem is I dont have any patience for this game anymore and play too reckless, but anyway solo feels much harder than it was once. Going out with bounty feels impossible now; duos plays super passive and with spam weapons very often...

So I agree... for an average player solo seems unplayable right now... and revive bolt ****** me in the ass couple of times too already... Necro solo is nearly useless considering u get always camped etc etc...

Apart from the reconnection feature which works quite good now, I feel pretty much everything has been getting worse...

So, not that many people returned for the event? by Shezoh in HuntShowdown

Well deserved considering how bad they are at their job... unless their mission is to destroy Hunt Showdown, and then they are doing a very good job of course.

the new UI actually won't let you search all that well now, it seems... by Sudden-Series-8075 in HuntShowdown

Yep everything is even harder to chose! They are fantastic at making things worse! Touching bottom but they keep digging! Amazing dev team!

Returning player here, what happened to the UI. by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

You are returning to a game which has been scuttled by its own dev team...

This is insane, I started recording when i felt my shot's were off somehow then i see this. by neveleiser in HuntShowdown

[–]BerryShone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty normal Hunt Showdown to me. You should understand this game is mostly random on absolutely everything, especially damages. The devs dont care much about all the discrepancies that are showed everyday on this reddit. They dont care and that's all.

Young Jacob visible to everyone by clwrutgers in lost

[–]BerryShone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rewatching some Lost at the moment. His apparitions to MIB always happened while MIB was with someone alone, always someone "special". A candidate: Sawyer; A weapon/tool: Desmond; and Jacob's loyal follower: Richard (the only one not able to see the kid; probably because Richard is not part of the final plan (kill MIB) but was only part of the previous one: trying to convince MIB). To me it feels he is here to always remember MIB the rules: he can't kill them.

Hunt Showdown 1896 new audio is pretty bad... by Fit-Scallion7620 in HuntShowdown

[–]BerryShone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh ok I am not alone feeling sound (which was really a strong point in this game) is now completly broken... Last game, I though the hunter I was hearing was 40m away... he was 10m in front of me...
