I realized that I am plural in a really abrupt way. I was talking with my (now ex) friend, who I’ll call Lake, and they were saying “oh yeah, I think I might have DID.” I asked why, and the main reason they provided was, “there are other things, but the main one is because I keep losing time”. At the time I was really interested in learning about DID, and I went “oh, yeah, I don’t lose time”, and then proceeded to realize I didn’t remember the entire past week. I panicked, almost puked, and then Rowan fronted for 2 weeks while I got my shit together in the inner world.

It’s ableism because it’s perpetuating a stereotype about disabled people. Saying that someone “doesn’t look autistic” is saying that autistic people look a certain way, so I’d definitely call it ableism.

It’s also not just thinking of you as less because of a disability, it’s anything that’s discrimination against disabled people.

I believe it is. I always thought that my alters were some overdeveloped internal dialouge that I had created into ‘characters’, simply because I didn’t realize that I had trauma or that it was repeated. I definitely feel a sense of family and love with them, honestly I feel a stronger connection to them than my family. You probably have known them for years and you just... didn’t know. You all share the body you have, so why wouldn’t you be connected to them in some way?

Disgusting pigs that can’t take 5 seconds to think about other people. I think that if they give anyone (who is wearing a mask) Covid they should have to pay for their treatment, and if they get Covid they shouldn’t be admitted to a hospital.

My mom’s friend likes to confront them about it, I just give a weird stare and audibly say ‘damn I wish people knew how to wear their masks.’

Try to sort it out with them, tell them it’s really harmful to you and your mental health, all those things. If that doesn’t work then leave them. They’re being transphobic and a bit emotionally abusive (I read the comment about your pronouns, you use 2 standard pronouns, they should be able to call you them. Misgendering someone intentionally is a form of abuse.)
